Precum risk?

Hello,

This is my situation. I am a homosexual, versatile. I had sex with a top who is positive. He used a condom. I did not felt like the condom broke. I'm fairly positive it did not slip, since I looked to check every once in a while (I will contact him on this later). I even changed the condom a couple of times to minimize the risk of breakage.

However, I am very scared because I know he was masturbating before he put one of the condoms, and probably had precum in his hands. So he used those hands to roll the condom back, and also used it to touch his penis (condom on) a couple of times before and during penetration.

I'm very scared and worried, since I know he is positive. I've had sex with other positive guys before, always protected, but this has never happened.

So is it possible for HIV to be transmitted this way? Am I at risk? Do I need to get tested? How high is the viral load for precum?

Under absolutely no circumstances is this an HIV risk at all.  Masturbating with ore-cum is a common event. HIV is far too fragile to remain viable under that circumstance - or ANY circumstance besides unprotected penetrative sex. From the situation you described, there is no basis jn HIV science for any concern whatsoever.

For a start, you need to pick a forum and keep all your questions or comments in one thread. You're not going to get any different answers in the Spanish forum. I've locked your thread there as you started out here.

You have not had a risk.

You need to assume ANYONE you have sex with is hiv positive and protect yourself accordingly. All those guys who told you they were negative? At least some of them were most likely positive and either didn't know, or didn't want you to know. Suck it up and get tested regularly.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST SPECIFICALLY OVER THE SITUATION YOU BRING TO US, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!
