Needle poking fear always
« on: June 14, 2018, 01:50:22 pm »
Hi Team,

I have received blow job 1 year back and did HIV test with ELISA and p24 combo test and result was negative after 1 year of exposure...I did repeat same tests in different labs due to Anxiety....but, I know from last 5 months I am so much stress and very anxious and running out to the lab for test again and again.

I have few questions to clarify,

1. Recently when I was tracking bus and train..I was doubting the person sitting next to me might have injected something into me...! But I could not feel any pain and I could not even sense it...is it possible that if some one poke with needle/Syringe..can't we sense/feel the pain when needle pierced?? Is it possible??

2. Did you see any infected cases or documented case from your knowledge?

3. Is there anything to worry??

I request you to help me in understanding these and your explanation can help me in calm down my fears..my questions may be weird to you...but still looking for your advice...Thnaks in advance...!

Firstly getting a blowjob is not how HIV is transmitted. Stop irrational testing

1.
No risk, and why would someone?

Also if I stabbed you and than to create a risk (why) injected you with a syringe filled with blood, trust me you would know about it!

2. No
2. No

Stop looking for concerns you don't have. Move on with your life or speak to a therapist to deal with this fear.

Jim

Hi Jim,
Thanks for reply...few more questions below are worrying me always.

1. While giving the blood sample..when the lab guy inserted needle i felt very mild pain...but, after taking the enough sample, when he pulled out the needle from the vein..during that time..i felt very hard pain like my vein is also coming out along with needle. When i asked the lab guy..he said...vein must have pulled up along with the needle ..that is why i got so much hard pain.

My question here is...if needle reused (However i have seen he opened the new pack of needle and Syringe)..do we get that kind of hard pain while pulling out the needle???

2. I ate food out side in the fast food center...the person who served the food like not healthy...so..if any one with HIV infected serves the food and if we eat that is risk?

I may be silly for all these questions..since, i do not have knowledge on all these..want to clarify from you to stop my worries... Please explain in detail if your time permits. Many thanks in advance...!

Not a risk, besides that it simply did not happen except for in your irrational fears and thoughts.

Also even if your fears were real and they are not, its a blood draw not injection, and would still not be a hiv concern in this manner

2
Not a risk and slap worthy in this decade

Also if you ask another offensive or to be frank insane question again you will be banned. I simply don't believe you when you say you don't have any knowledge of how hiv is transmitted. You have some sort of irrational focus on the topic and are asking questions that belong to the 1980's

Feel free to read the links in my signature on hiv and hiv transmission however no more questions.

If you can't move on seek mental health support for your issues, I will not continue to entertain you here.

Hi Jim,

Only few more question since this is my last post..want to clarify them....please do not mind if the questions are weired or something else.

1. I have cold with running water eyes from last 4 days (i moved to different city) and if i take any table for reducing the cold and cough..and then taking HIV test will affect the test results?

2. I went barber shop for beard trimming and they normally use the used trimmer machine...will this cause any HIV risk if any blood from previous customer exists on the trimmer? any issue to fear on this?

3. Due to heavy cold and cough...do i need to take another test?

Please suggest and clarify..thanks.

1.
No

2.
No - Scenario is the same "Environmental" concern asked and answered before.

3.
No

HIV does not make you cough and you can not have acquired HIV the way you fear. You can't have symptoms from something you don't have.

Please suggest and clarify..thanks

Your fears are irrational and you are letting them impact your life. I would suggest  speaking to a therapist or prehaps even a physiatrist for face to face support and treatment to help you learn how to cope with your irrational fears and thoughts before it gets worse.
