My latest labs
« on: September 08, 2006, 02:14:40 pm »
I received the results of the first labwork done since starting my new combination (Viramune and Truvada) in May.   These were drawn Sept 1st:

T4 -  351  (previously 442)

%  -    25  (previously 24)

VL  -  <50   (no change)

T cells are down slightly, but the percentage increased from 24 to 25; my virus is still fully suppressed, so I'm pleased.  All other labs (lipids, cholesterol, liver enzymes, etc) within range.  I see my cardiologist on the 14th, that's the one I'm a little nervous about.....

Alan,

Just keep remembering what great progress you have made.  I was blown away when you told me how sick you had been at one time....you really looked great when we were in Montreal.  These numbers confirm that things are working well right now.

Thanks everyone.   There's something to be said for gratitude.  I am so thankful for the place I'm at today, healthwise.

For example, here are some CD4's from the 'early years':

07/91 - 31
10/91 -  1
01/92 - 10
08/93 -  6

First RNA's done in March 1996 - 600K
                           July 1996    - 37K
                           Sept 1996 -  473K

Comparatively speaking, I'm healthy as a horse!

Hugs,
Alan
