Next Year in Jerusalem!
« on: March 27, 2007, 05:46:37 pm »
Dear Fellow Members of the Chosen People,

Like the rest of you bebbehs, Matty the Damned has been shlepping around like a thing possessed in preparation for the Seder. Trying to find enough unleavened bread at this time of year is sending him meshugga.

Give thanks then for Rabbi Aaron Wintermitz from Spring Valley NY, who has an enterprising solution to the matzo shortage.

Naturally we're all going to avoid off colour remarks about Jews building big ovens and the illegal gasline employed in this endeavour.

Mazel tov!

LIFE is not a race to the grave with the intention of arriving safely
in a pretty and well-preserved body, but, rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming--WOW! WHAT A
RIDE!!!

Happy Passover Mattala and other Jewish members of our forums from Jody (who really hates Matzoh as well as religious celebrations) - as much as RAB hates peanut butter I guess  :D

Loved being the youngest at a seder, and being involved...especially in the food, chopped liver and those sweet fried fish balls.....
Happy Passover Mtd...L'chaim..is that right?

Alan that is pretty damned cool! I'm dating a Jewish guy right now, but I'm not about  to invite myself to Seder because I don't know if he's having one...but it'd be cool, at least.

Would it be presumptuous to take him some unleavened bread?  His 87-year-old pop lives with him.  Would it be improper to make it myself?  Help me out, here, people, I'm only Jewish from the waist down...

Oh Creighton...Being Jewish from the waist down is the best place to be one!
I wouldn't try to make Matzoh, maybe you can just get it in a box, like normal people do!!!  ;)  Or a jar of gefilte fish already.

Alan- Sweetheart - have fun at your church seder !!!

Mattala - I must admit I am a little surprised to find out you are Jewish, I don't know why but I just assumed you were one of those folks who looked British and talked Yiddish.

Indeed the Jews invented guilt and the Irish perfected it...Still I could just jump into the cold, dark sea but I fear my body would wash up in front of a Matzoh factory...Then my old friends and schoolmates would read about me in an obituary, get a good chuckle and that would be so embarrasing I would plotz in my own grave !!!

I'm crackin' up here!  After a bowl on Saturday, I remember I said either "You want I should_________________" or else I said "________________________  should I do?"

I watched Star Wars Episode I Friday night and had a date with a Jewish guy Saturday...who knows what I said; I could be an ambassador to Nazareth one day and the Republic the next...
