I voted "tea," as in (unsweetened) iced tea.

when ordering here in the South", it's all called "Coke" regardless of what carbonated drink it is. ("I'd like to order a large coke." "What kind?" "Sprite.")

I lived up in Ohio for a bunch of decades where they call it "pop"; but regardless of which word is right, I checked SODA for my answer.
I drink over 2-liters of Coca-Cola a day (COKE! it's the real thing) and have done so for 31 years now. :o ;D For years, I teased my doctor that I only had two vices (cigarettes and Coke) so it was the caffeine and nicotine that was keeping teh aidses at bay. I told my doc that I would give up one vice but not both and so I haven't smoked for 8 years; but I'm still drinking Coke.

I'm having great difficulty choosing between beer and liquor. During our short period of not Summer time here in Florida, I love drinking a good porter or stout.

Soda seems a bit all-encompassing....
I drink Diet Coke. Huge quantities of the stuff. Have done since I was a kid. I can easily go through 2 litres in a day, including cans/bottles at work etc.
If I go out drinking, it's usually a Jack and.... you guessed it.
It means I am hopelessly caffeine addicted. If I don't have a caffeinated drink by about 11am, I have a screaming headache for the rest of the day.
So yes, I err.... will vote 'soda' :)

Another 'Coke Addict!'....
Interestingly, in the UK, you hear soft drinks referred to as 'pop' but it's usually in the setting of children. Grandmothers saying "Would you like a glass of pop my dear?"...that sort of thing.
Calling any soft drink Coke is a bit odd though....If I ordered a 'Large Coke' and someone said 'What Kind?', I would assume they mean 'Diet/Light' or 'Full Fat/Regular'. Maybe next time I'm on the east coast I will ask and when they ask for the kind I will say 'You know....Mountain Dew' :)

it's so nice knowing that I am not the only person like this in the world. do your friends send you those articles about how horrible Coke is and how it's destroying your life and health?? L ;D L It's aids didn't kill me, the "pause that refreshes", "the real thing" isn't gonna kill me either. 8)

I used to swallow 2-liters of Diet Coke or more every day. A couple years ago, I stopped drinking soda on a regular basis and switched to flavored seltzer (usually mandarin orange). I will occasionally order a soda when out, but I do feel soooo much better since ending that addiction.
I also drink lots of coffee -- no one wants to see me in the morning if I haven't had a couple of cups.
I don't drink alcohol -- but I do enjoy a non-alcoholic beer (St. Pauli Girl NA is particularly good) and I drink alot of non-alcoholic wine while on cruises.
Oh - and I have lived in Virginia for over 16 yrs now and have NEVER heard anyone use "Coke" in place of soda.

I missed the voting, but like coffee and iced tea, usually unsweetened. Sometimes I will have a soda. I used to drink it like water but stopped doing that because I just don't believe it's the best thing. Of course I don't care if other people drink it.
My niece in Baltimore likes St Croix, isn't that seltzer? I tried it but did not like it at all. I guess I don't like fizzy water.

Diet Coke, Root beer, kool-aid, black coffee, green tea,
Cranberry apple
People in Japan really like COKE and other beverages.
Vending machines are everywhere in town.
Hope you will enjoy this video. The sign that the young guy is holding says,

And l would like to tell you that spring is the best time for visiting here mainly because of the cherryblossoms as you can see in the video above. Having parties under the cherry trees has been the tradition having been handed down for ages.

Sparkling cider or water for thirst..
Coffee, all kinds but Expresso is my favorite for pleasure..
Jack "Daniel's" and coke with a lime twist when I'm feeling naughty 8)..

For me, coffee, have to have it in the mornings! I like it black, and usually drink 3-5 cups a day, if not more. Usually drink about 8 glasses of water a day give or take, and try to keep it to one soda per day. I don't have a sweet tooth and don't care for sugary drinks. Alcohol wise, not a huge drinker but do enjoy the occasional bourbon or vodka cocktail.

Coffee and water are the liquids that I'm using to drink the most. One cup of coffee in the morning, then water for the rest of the day. I used to drink more than one coffee per day, but I got some problems with my bladder I try not to abuse to much on coffee.

Harney & Sons Herbal Raspberry tea bags in a bottle of Smart Water w/ lime.

Sometimes I like to walk the edge... and drink water with crushed ice in a Styrofoam cup. Every now and then I get gangsta and pour a few ounces in a flower bed for the falling homies. Rosemary is full this year because of it.... 8)
