Rapid hiv test at home

Hi, I want to learn your opinion about one thing.Are rapid hiv screen tests trustable and accurate?I bought one kit 1 week ago and I tested myself with this but I dont know really if its trustable.Name of this kit is EZ-H rapid screen test kit.

The only home testing kit which is reliable and FDA approved is the Home Access hiv test. It is not available outside the US.

The problem with non-approved home testing kits is they are prone to false positive results.

Unless you've been having unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse or sharing needles to inject drugs, then you probably weren't at risk anyway. Care to tell us why you tested?

I had some risky relations in 2007 summer though always with condom but one time receving oral withouth condom.And I suspect that maybe I wore condoms wrongly several times.I am 21 years old male.And I tested in laboratuary after 61 days from these relations, it was negative both for hiv 1-2.After nearly 10 months from these relations and 8 months from first test I tested again this week at home with simple test kit.(You put your blood into one small thing and then see result in 5 to 10 minutes.)The result was negative.I dont know if it could be false negative.

If you used condoms then you didn't place yourself at risk of HIV infection. The unprotected oral isn't a concern either.

Condoms are fairly straightforward things. You put it on your willy and then do the deed. If the condom is intact when you've finished then you've used it properly. Believe me, you'd know if the condom wasn't intact.

Therefore you can be confident that the laboratory testing you had is conclusive. you don't have HIV.
