Nine weeks 3 days

Male, heterosexual, uncircumcised just turned 26. On a business trip to Houston during the last week in January 08, I could not control myself. I needed some company so I invited some escorts to my hotel room on two separate occasions. This was my first time engaging in such activity.

First off I used a crown skinless condom in both instances. This condom has a latex base and is supposed to give the greatest pleasure of any condom. The women were attractive but for some reason I could not stay aroused. To overcome this problem I tried jerking off.

My concern with HIV infection is with the fact my hand was in contact with the women's vaginal secretions (very heavy) on the condom.

Jerking off worked to a certain extent but I took the condom off briefly for more stimulation, meanwhile exposing my penis to the vaginal secretion residue (dried) directly. Before re-entry I used a new condom. It was a bad week and I just could not keep the little guy awake. I did not ejaculate.

After the first encounter I had a slight cold for about a week but unlike previous colds I could breathe from my nostrils. The thought did not set in that  I may have HIV until I flew back home. At this time I remembered one of the escorts had a odd shaped stomach. I was thinking early stages of pregnancy but later I researched a bloated stomach is a side effect of HIV/AIDS medications.  I never inquired into their HIV status.

Mid way though February my entire body felt extremely weak, my eye began twitching and I began feeling tingling sensations in my forearms (primarily) and feet. Also during this time my teeth felt like I had a new cavity, a white spot appeared towards the back of my mouth and a stiff neck. I also noticed torus palatinus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torus_palatinus).  This all subsided in short order but the tingling sensations, torus palatinus and spot still remains. I'm thinking the torus palatinus existed all my life but I just noticed it when I started freaking out.

EVeryone tells me I'm extremely low risk but its very difficult to accept it. I am patiently waiting until the 12th week when I can take the HIV test. I believe I am experiencing anxiety issues but I just don't know. Fortunately I came across a site recently that calmed down my nerves somewhat. For anyone trying to make it through the window period without pulling out your hair like me, read this... http://hivinsite.ucsf.edu/insite?page=ask-01-03-17

Excerpt..

n a study of 77 patients with primary HIV infection, 96% of symptomatic patients suffered fever, 67% reported skin rash, 61% complained of headache, 61% had malaise, and 61% complained of lethargy. Five patients were asymptomatic and insufficient information was available for 1 patient. For the remaining 71 patients, the mean duration of symptoms lasted 31 +/- 3.1 days (range 3 to 180)

This was a little reassuring. I had malaise I think but no where near the average of 31 days. Only problem is I visited someone in the hospital a few days ago now I'm sneezing and have a really slight cold. Of course I can't let go the possibility of having HIV! If I were to take a rapid HIV test next Wednesday, 10 weeks post exposure how accurate would it be? It's challenging to get up the courage to get the test done and conversely I have issues with waiting three long weeks....

You were not at risk at all in the situation you described.

Do yourself a big favor and stay off of the net. As Rod said, you were absolutely not at risk from the situation you described in relation to vaginal fluids. And there's no need for testing unless you're going to make yourself crazy over this incident, in which case get tested just to collect the inevitable negative result.

I can't help wondering if you would be having this same level of fear if you'd been with two civilians instead of two professionals. Guys seem to have a lot of anxiety about the risk being higher with sex workers. In reality sex workers want to stay healthy and alive and they generally are careful with precautions (in my experience).

O.K. I will try my best to stop worrying and get this behind me. The only way I can see it happening though is to collect the results to be absolutely certain. I appreciate all the support during this tough period.

Just tested negative folks after 13 weeks. After my experience, rendezvous with escorts are a thing of the past for me.

Now, before I part ways with the forum I would like to share some profound information I found on a cure for HIV/AIDS during the past few months. Google Dr. Sebi if you are poz, due your due diligence. There is hope.

Rudder, that's a happy if not unexpected negative result.

Get on with your life.

As for recommending Dr. Sebi and his "herbal cures," that can get you banned from this site. I'm going to let you go this time with a sharp warning. Don't ever do anything like that again. This is not discussable or negotiable. It's incredibly arrogant of you as an HIV negative guy who's just been in an uproar and carrying on over something that wasn't a risk to be recommending treatments to those actually living with the virus. You need to realize what a crust that is on your part. Among other things your Dr. Sebi has been arrested twice for practicing medicine without a license.

If you attempt to get into any kind of a further discussion about this it will get you banned immediately.
