Love and thankyous
« on: August 27, 2006, 01:18:02 am »
To all my new mates from Montreal-  I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful welcome you showed this aussie "sheila".

Not only was I able to give my Jan real hugs and spend time with her but I met and fell in love with her special family.

The memorial service allowed me to send a mother's love to her son (a friend of Jan's and mine lost her son to AIDS in the 90's, here in Perth). We also lost 2 very close friends this year and the service allowed me to cry for them in a way I couldn't at their funerals. Thank you so much for giving me that.

Boy did i have some laughs! What a wonderful, funny bunch you all are!

It was a long way to go for me but it was worth every mile travelled to see the love and support surrounding you all and to see just how much you all love my girl.

You are an inspiration to me and I have left Montreal with memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.

Once again, thank you so much to all of you.

All my love,

Jen    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

And what a lovely lady you are, Janny.  I enjoyed our short time together and am so glad we were able to meet in person.  You and Jan traveled far to our little gathering.  Glad you made it home safe.   I suspect we have all been touched by the experience and now you are a part of the family too.  :-*

Dear Jen,

Great you made it home safe ! Jen it was basically impossible not to like you and you got along with everyone ( excepted for that stupid waiter  ;) ). You arrived in Montreal knowing only Jan but it was like we've known you for years.

I'm already missing my friends from down under which mean you and Jan. I certainly hope I'll see you both in the near future.  :D

Regards,

Claude aka The Canuck

Hey gurrfriend,

I have to say that meeting you and Jan was a highlite of the trip for me.  Amazing how intelligent conversation can be at 5am ;).  I like to think that not only are you a part of the family here, but a long lost sista.  Can't wait to get that email from you!  We can continue our banter from a global perspective  ;D

Love you sweetie,

John

Jen,

You were one of the high lights of my trip, dear.   I still laugh when I think about us trying to 'figure out how to gamble' at the Casino.  I'm sure everybody thought we were a bunch of idiots...but it was SUCH FUN!

You are a real treasure, Jan is lucky to have you in her life, and now so are we.

Love you,

Alan  :-*

Jen

I loved meeting you!

Your ever present smile, your wit, and good ole loving soul, made the Montreal gathering even more special.

Thank you for coming so far, thank you for the gift you gave to us all.

You are a very special woman in my book.

Well Jen,

What can I say. I loved sharing time with you. You and Jen were such a delight, and throw one heck of a party (despite the complaints from hotel security!)

I am missing you both very much these days. Sigh!

Now, I guess I better start saving my pennies so I can visit the great land Down Under!

BIG HUGS,

Jen, it was great meeting you. Wish we had talked more but that's only a wish and not a complaint. Glad to know you arrived home safely and that the trip was so rich for you.

Big cheers,

Hi Jen!

Good to know that you arrived home safely! Now you can throw those ear-plugs away!!! ;D

Spending time with you and Jan was like a dream for me...seeing how close you both are made me miss having a 'girlfriend' to hang with in my neck of the woods!

Thanks for your bright spirit and ready sense of humor, you were such a welcome part of our crew.

Now, what we need to do is decide whether I post those crazy foot-work photos of John & Trishie, from our wee-hours fun Monday morning!!!

Hmmmm....

Love,

Zephie :-*

Jen, it was great meeting you as well...You and Jan are such good friends and though many miles separate you as well now that she is in New Zealand your friendship will endure with such a great lady whom we all love dearly here.  Take care and stay well and enjoy your upcoming summer down under while we ready ourselves for autumn (which I love) and then winter.
