Change of clinic intensive work up

 I have changed clinic.  I was seeing a general practice (GP) for my primary health care but have switched back to a specialised hiv/ std clinic.  I will still need to find a new doctor for my general health issues.

I had a full panel of bloods and examination. HIV viral load and cd4 counts good, but...

Turns out I have elevated cholesterol, a 16% risk of stroke or heart attack in the next 5 years, so I'm a new bunny for the crestor pills.

Good luck with the Crestor ! Hopefully you will get it back to range soon.

 I have been off my statin  (symvastatin) since the end of May, when I had the pneumonia, AFIB, and that urinary track infection. No one has told me to restart it ,  so I will be extremely curious as to my next cholesterol numbers, on my next labs, in a month. I think I will be in for a shocker !

Current Meds ; Viramune / Epzicom Eliquis, Diltiazem. Pravastatin 80mg, Ezetimibe. UPDATED 2/18/24
 Tested positive in 1985,.. In October of 2003, My t-cell count was 16, Viral load was over 500,000, Percentage at that time was 5%. I started on  HAART on October 24th, 2003.

 UPDATED: As of April, 2nd 2024,Viral load Undetectable.
CD 4 @593 /  CD4 % @ 18 %

Lymphocytes,total-3305 (within range)

cd4/cd8 ratio -0.31

cd8 %-57
