Ozempic - Weight Loss.

(1/1)

BKK1:
Hello Peeps,

Is anybody here currently using the medication Ozempic or has used it before? If so I would greatly appreciate any feedback and your experience of weight loss whilst taking it. Did you have any bad side affects?

I am pre diabetic with a BMI of 38 and meet the criteria for being prescribed Ozempic. There are no contra indications with my existing ARV regime, Kocitaf.

I exercise 3 times weekly for an hour and eat a fairly healthy low carb, high protein diet and just cannot seem to shed weight of any significance

Any feedback would be most welcome!

(I have used the search function already on this but there was no results).

Hi there

I am in South Africa and we get a GLP1 drug to treat obesity called Saxenda. I was obesity type IIII, weighing 117kgs. Cholesterol was off the charts, had terrible Gerd, sleep apnea, you name it. Was forced to lose weight due to hiatus hernia repair and doctor made it clear the weight had to come off after the OP. I was on saxenda for about a year before it went out of stock and switched to Victoza which also has GLP1.

Have lost 52Kgs over almost 2 years, cholesterol is back to normal, Gerd sorted, sleep apnea gone aaaaaaaand I was detectable for a couple of years switched to different drugs and I'm now undetectable, kidney function improved, I mean I can go on with all the health benefits. My doctor is completely perplexed and the results. My GP has been doing regular bloodwork to monitor the vitals and have only good feedback.
