Would appreciate an assessment of risk

First off, just want to thank you for being incredibly helpful and supportive of those coming here.

In any event, I'm sure you've seen a question similar before, but I'd appreciate you guys giving it a read.
Had an slightly random encounter with a male. There was no sex nor oral sex. Just a mutual frottage/masturbation environment. Although, 2 nights prior I sliced my finger with a knife accidentally. At the time of the encounter, the slice was not bleeding but certainly red, painful to touch, and visibly open. So, of course my first inclination is to think that perhaps this was a viable route for infection given contact with semen. I shortly after Purelled the crap out of my finger, and then washed with soap etc. The next day I woke up (in my own bed) and it was actually bleeding, probably because I dried it out with all the washing.

2 weeks later on Christmas Eve, I came down with a sudden fever, white junk on tonsils etc. Seemed like strep. On recommendation of a friend, I took 3 amoxicillin at once to hold me over until the doctor's availability the next week. Well, a day and a half later I already felt fine, but the hypochondriac in me certainly is inclined to attribute this incident with the one aforementioned.

I guess my question is, what qualifies as a fresh enough cut/deep enough cut, if any does at all. And would you guys consider this remotely a risk? Got blood drawn today for test just to be sure but would appreciate your input.

This is not an HIV risk situation. Mutual masturbation and frottage do not constitute risk behaviours as far as HIV is concerned. The cut finger makes no difference.

You do not need to be tested for HIV.

Your subsequent illness is also irrelevant in terms of HIV. I would add that taking anti-biotics that are not prescribed for you is a silly thing to do. That is how bugs become resistant. You should only ever take anti-biotics after a doctor has examined you and determined that they are necessary.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post without having a question, but just thought I'd follow up. Tests came back all negative. If anyone else is worried to their core about cuts and nicks and all that, here's another addition to the advice many wise individuals provide you with here.

Well a negative test result is always a happy thing, even when it's no surprise here.

In terms of sexual risk for the transmission of HIV, it's very simple. The only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. Use a condom everytime for those activities and you will be well protected.

With the time spent educating myself on this board, I'm inclined to believe no risk for the following situation, but I would appreciate a quick answer as I haven't found something posted prior that's quite exactly similar.

Was engaged in heavy frottage as the "receptive" frott-ee. No penetration, but again, heavy/aggresive frottage. At the end, he fingered me while he masturbated to climax, came on the area between my anus and balls, and removed his fingers. The only reason I ask for an assessment is because: 1) I was obviously "loose" 2.) My torso was in a near verticle/upside-down position. 3.) The semen was around the edges/over my anus briefly.

Is there any reason to suspect that gravity plays a role here as the anus is loose?

Sounds ridiculous to get into all the complexities of each individual situation, but in any event, I hopped up, wiped it off with a towel, and washed with soap.

Nothing you have described is a risk for HIV transmission. There's a big difference between "heavy frottage" and anal intercourse. As long it was only his fingers going into you and not his uncovered penis, I don't see any cause for concern. HIV is a fragile virus and is not transmitted in the details you are concerned about.

Keep it simple. Sexual risk for HIV is about unprotected anal (and vaginal) intercourse. That's it.

You are worrying needlessly.
