OK everyone, here goes!!

I was born and raised in the small town of West Warwick, RI in June, 1963 (I'm a cancer). I was forced out of the closet at 16. Was dating a man 5 yrs older than me. He was bi and so was his wife and were getting a divorce. His dad got my number and called my mom to tell her I was gay and that the one I was dating was married with 2 small kids. My mom told him evidently I was better in bed than his wife was and hung up on him. Mom was very supportive. Of course I was better in bed than his wife, I had something to offer that she couldn't <EG> We were together 5 years. She by the way was my first and only experience, long story on that one. He was very abusive and cheated on me when ever he had the chance. 2 years later, 1988 we met again when I moved back to R.I. and I told him I was poz and that I probably got infected when we were together. My t-cells were 225. He said he wasn't and that I didn't get it from him. I recently found out he died 2 years later.

My doc back then told me I had about 2 yrs if that. I laughed at him and said I'd be around when he retired. I tried AZT and had every side effect there was so I stopped. I got involved in politics and was the state Representative for the New Alliance Party. I then decided to run openly gay and openly HIV+ for Mayor of Providence, R.I.,declared my candidacy on 12/1/88. Wanted to make people aware that just because someone looks healthy doesn't mean that they weren't HIV+. Stopped my campaign when I had to come to Florida to help my mom. The best night sleep I had in a year. Running wasn't worth my health.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Administrative Assistant (Typed 111 wpm), waiter,attendant at a bath house (the stories I could tell), telemarketer, hairstylist (even more stories), salon manager, owner, owned gay pride/leather store (2 locations), web designer, programmer in PHP,HTML,JAVA, website administrator, database manager, tarot card reader, pendulist, ordined minister (non-denominational), psychic/medium, owner of a metaphysical store, bartender, hmmmm did I forget anything?? Porn star wanna be lol

SPIRITUAL
Became an ordained non-denominational minister in 2001. Follow Wiccan/Pagan path since I was a teenager. Raised in the catholic faith. Tarot Reader since I was a teenager, owner of an on-line Psychic School. Reiki Master/Teacher of a few different modalities, Crystal Healer/User (stones not the drug), Pendulist, Psychic/Medium, Spirit Communicator (Like John Edwards).

EDUCATION
GED, Secretarial School, Cosmetology School, AA degree in ISM, 1 yr towards my BA degree

CURRENT

Met Louie almost 10 yrs ago, he was working at a Leather Shop in a bar, it was quiet, we met on a dare and have been together ever since (left out the juicy stuff). Love and first sight. Work part time at a hairsalon, take care of Louie, have 2 websites, a metaphysical shop. Take care of our 10 yr old female Shephard named Princess.

Mom passed away almost 6 years ago. We thought she'd have to bury me, turned out I was the one to bury her. We owned our own home in Palma Ceia (Tampa), upper middle class neighborhood. Louie got sick 3 yrs ago and we sold the house, bought a 1977 used, 5'th wheel. Live in a 55 and over RV/Mobile home park. Have a small lake across from us. Had major repair work to do to make it livable. Made no money out of the house. Did what we had to to take care of Louie. Was in an issue of POZ magazine under the heading "Sale of a Lifetime".

Have been an activist on and off through the years. Always fighting the system to get what ever Louie needs help with. Have been on the news a few times because of it. Been out of the closet HIV wise since the beginning. Out of the broom closet for about 5 years now. Still celebrate Christmas, Louie doesn't follow my beliefs but is supportive of them.

My dad and I don't talk any longer since he found out I was POZ. He said no son of his would be gay and that I deserve what I got. My brother and I have had our differences but he's coming around. Even offering to take care of me if I need anyone. Not sure about that though, need to see how he continues to treat me and Louie.

That's a quick run through about me. I'm sure I left quite a bit out (especially the real juicy stuff, I can tell you in private if you have the guts to ask <EG>). I enjoy trying to help out others in any way that I can. I'm especially glad that I finally joined this group. It has been a tremendous help. Hope to meet some of you in person one of these days. Going to start a blog about my life experience, I'll put in the juicy stuff there probably.

So there you go, just a bit about me. Damn I've had one hell of a life so far. Didn't realize it actually until I started writing this. Can't wait to update this in 10 more years. Who knows what else life has in store for me, all I know is, it's going to be GREAT. HIV or not!!

Hey Michael,

I must say that it is a PLEASURE to have met you. In fact, a meeting of the minds has been considered. Perhaps at Alicia's Bakery. They have some good food there.

What a road you have traveled on. Definitely a reason for those experiences just as well.

Oh Yes, it makes it just that much more exciting! Can you feel the positive energy that is flowing all around us? Yes. Oh what a feeling! and its not Toyota! LOL!

I definitely feel the positive energy. I even feel the energy changes that the earth is going through. Especially the huge shifts. It's getting easier to handle. The communications I have with the spirit world is getting easier for me to control and understand.

I have one of my regulars who I do readings for tell me that I was right, her father passed shortly after our reading. She wasn't alone like I told her. I wrote to her earlier today and got a message as I was typing. I saw pink roses and she said they always had pink roses around the house where ever they lived.

Such joy and happiness when communicating with those who have passed. Such love.

I just got a flash, did an immediate family member of yours pass away recently, like the past year or so.

Hi Michael. Thank you so much for opening up who the Rev. is since I had often wondered. Now we have to compare notes about bathhouses so I can see if my research and writings about the New St. Marks Baths and the East Side Club as patron (and one time advisor to the latter's owners) meet with your expertise from the 'other' side of the door.

Yep, that's me. I did a search in the archives and the link above goes to the article in the December 2003 issue of POZ.

Guess I was right in the article, that was the beginning of taking care of Louie. It's hard to believe it's been 3 years since that article. Though we never made it to traveling the country
