Helllo Alan,

Just want to thank you for the birthday wishes. And everyone else, I thank you also. Now that I am officially declared a senior citizen  8) ( by age) I promise not to get grumpy, or irritable....Right !!! ;)

Ed and I are going to attempt a 20 mile bike ride today. We're going to get on the Pinellas trail at Dunedin, and ride north to Tarpon springs, One way is ten miles.

http://www.pinellascounty.org/park/12_Trail.htm

The exercise will do the both of us good. I think I am going to have a sore ass afterwords, but what the hell !! Get all that fresh air, and enjoy this great Florida weather today. Supposed to get in the low 80's today, but it still a little  muggy !! Shouldn't take us more than two hours to complete the ride. We're not rushing !! Once we get up to Tarpon Springs, we will check out some of the shops there.

I also took tonight off from work !!! Ed and I are taking his mother out to dinner with us. We will most likely go out around 4:00 She will turn 83 on December 7th. I already know what I am having. This one restaurant we will be going to serves absolutely the most fantastic trout !! So thats my choice for later today. And I am going to have an ice cold beer of two in a frosted mug !! :P Maybe even a shot of schnapps !!

Rab, thanks for your thoughts. I appreciate it. I also have a great respect for you also !!! It was you, that coaxed me back in 2004, to finally get my picture up, on the old forums !!  2007, is just around the corner, lets hope it's a great year for all of us !!

Thanks again----------Ray

Happy Birthday Ray!

I hope you don't end up too saddle sore - those birthday swats will sting enough on their own! :D

It's been nice getting to know you over the years Ray, here's to plenty more! And by the way, I thought you weren't officially a senior until you hit somewhere in the 60s? You weren't telling Alan porkies about the year of your birth, were you? ;D

Birthday hugs,
Ann

Ray,

YIKES!   Sorry, I have been kind of out of pocket the past few days.

I hope your birthday was stupendous!

Tim, same goes for you. Remember keep celebrating - a day for each year!

Now, albeit after the fact, a time-honored tradition must be observed!

So, get ready for those BIRTHDAY SWATS!  ;D

Just wanted to follow up !!

Had a great bike ride yesterday. Actually,  I am not as sore as I thought I was going to be. Dinner was absolutely fantastic... cooked right to perfection, And the few drinks I had afterwords put the final touches on the day. Slept like a rock last night !!! :)

For Ann !!!

Actually 55 is the age where you can start getting  those  those senior discounts, by some of the companys/ restaurants etc!! so I am up to getting my discounts. :P. We do have 55 plus communities down here. I often wonder how they can get away with that. Seems like age discrimination to me !!

In reality,

I need to be 62 to start collecting social security. Which is now 6 years and 364 days away ! :P

I am 9 years 364 days  away from Medicaid.

For "Full retirement "for my age group( born in 1951) is 65. So I am 9 years, 364 days away from that... But who's counting !! :P

Take care and thanks again everyone !!-----Ray

LOL Ray, who's counting indeedy! Wow, so you count for senior discounts at 55 now? I'm not sure how I feel about that - I'll let you know in 3,891 days. ;)

Glad you had a good day Ray, you certainly deserve it.
