No, you can not transmit HIV via urine. Please post all your questions in "I Just Tested Poz."

Hi Dingo,

This is a very belated response to your question. I'm wondering if you have read the lessons on transmission and testing on this site. You can find a link to them in the Welcome thread which opens the AM I INFECTED section.

Also, your wife may have questions of her own. I'm wondering if you have considered having her go to a checkup with you when you see your doctor so that she can be included in.

You mentioned having been diagnosed in April. How is it going now these months later?

Cheers,
Andy Velez

hi Andy,
yes, my wife was with me on my last doctor visit in october. my next doctor visit will be this thursday the 11th.the urine thing was a freak incident and being that we are pretty new to all this drama, my wife got really scared. but all is ok

my cd4 in april when i was diagnosed was 120 with VL of 56,000. my check up n october my cd4 was up at 200 and VL undetectable. that was good news.

i cant help but be nervous about thursday though. i wonder if you or anyone else here gets nervous before a doctor visit.

my wife and i started the process of having another baby. we are going forward with the sperm washing procedure. if all goes well, she'll be pregnant by march.i'll keep you posted ..HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!   ;D
