AGAIN Long time since last time
« on: October 10, 2020, 06:34:05 am »
Dear Friends,

Again long silence for over six months.  Sorry.
I am doing vey well - I can hardly believe that more than six years have passed since I was in hospital with the CD4 only 61.  For the next three years, I was severely depressed and even thought of giving up my life but many of you helped me on this forum. Now I am completely back to my normal life and as Jeff G. advised me then, I work hard and save some money believing I can live long.   The Corona virus issue was bad during the summer here in Japan but it is now getting better.   I thought I should send you my greetings before you forget my name.  Thank you.

wow. Six years?!? Time flies!

Hopefully life is going well for you. It sounds like you're doing well. It's certainly good that you aren't dwelling on the negatives of what AIDS could have been to you but you're living in the reality of what living with HIV is really like - normal life. ;)

We're just into Fall now (boo. :(  my pool is closed up, I'm raking leaves, and dreaming of Summer 2021) here in the States and rushing towards a very important election. That's what living with HIV and meds is really like - looking forward to the future.

Glad you checked in with us again  :-* :-* and look forward to hearing from you again in another 6 months. LOL LOL :D

Thank you, leatherman Mikie.
It was six years ago (2014) that I was down with PCP.   For those years I have not even caught a cold.   I wake up after sleeping five or six hours and I feel good all day.   Now I know what you told me - the meds are great.

I keep track of the election that is coming in a month in the United States.  Hope things will go in the best way for the people of the country.  When I visited the United States for the first time, Ronald Reagan was president (1983).   (If my memory is correct, the first that visited Japan as U.S. President was Gerald Ford.   And when Commodore Matthew C. Perry arrived here in what we call "Black Ships" in 1852, he brought a letter from President Fillmore to the emperor.  )

Daniel! Love my brother, excellent to hear you're well.

Have you been to DC? Japan gave us cherry trees, they're planted all across the city. Blossom season is a popular time for tourists

Hi, Zach.

Thank you for remembering me.   It was really six years ago that I got ill and was diagnosed.   Now the medicine works and I enjoy living.
Yes, I have been to DC - it was the year 2000 and saw the cherry trees there.
Again thank you for your reply.
