Mark brought up a very good point in the "Treatment" forum about melting capsules.  I'm sure everyone will be carrying on their meds and not checking them.  But, I personally hadn't thought about how hot the meds could get if put in a purse, or a hip pocket, especially when walking around.  The temps seem to be on the mild side, but there's no telling how warm (hot?) they could get while bunched up in a taxi or on a long bus trip.  Any suggestions for preventing capsule meltdown?

Mum

Small frozen gel pack should perform well in the time it will take you to travel from home to AC hotel room--since the temps won't be soaring. In my own experience, Norvir caps start sweating at about 87 degrees but I won't be concerned on this trip because temps projected to be in the mid 70's for highs.

Uh, it's 80F right now in Philadelphia, and 61F in Mexico City.  I really don't think there's any cause for concern about melting Norvir capsules.

I'll get the best tables then.

Love you long time if you can bring me back some Viagra and Adderall.

Yeah, like you don't get enough uppers and chemically enhanced dorsal veins down in Dawsonville.

I wonder how one says "PNP" in Spanish/Mexican slang.  Oh, and I just found a web site listing a good dozen "saunas" in MC, and about 50 clubs.

I'm thinking that I need both a light coat for evening wear, as well as a proper raincoat for afternoon showers.

Q:  should my wardrobe theme be "classic casual" or "uber-trendy"?

Our theme will be "properly covered".   I have a jacket that is all-weather and I'm bringing an umbrella.  Peanut will bring her Tinkerbell rain poncho and pink sweater.  She tends to get cold more readily than I do (I also have more insulation than she does).

Does anyone know, or remember whether the hotel has an indoor swimming pool?

No indoor pool (or outdoor one) mentioned on web site. It does have a Fiesta Kids Club for her Highness.  :)

It is 81 in MC as I type this. Maybe throw in a pair of shorts after all.

What web site are you looking at?

This says 66F at 9PM, with an overnight low of 55F.  I've been monitoring it all week and I've yet to see anything higher than 76F.  Kind of humid though.  Weather Underground's web site says the same temp as weather.com -- I think your numbers might be wrong.

The location on Paseo de la Reforma is uber-business oriented.  I'm not surprised that it lacks a swimming pool.  There's a gym though.

Also, I hope I don't encounter a used condom in a corner of my hotel room's bathroom like one reviewer stated on tripadvisor.com !

Okay Philly,

Quit creeping us out!  Else, you're gonna get what's coming to you in MC.  Mark likes to spank.

 ;D  Hugs, Ric

David, I obtained that temp from their site. A gym and a spa--where one might find a bunch of guys
'cuddled' together in a hot tub.  Oh wait! It's not the BATHS!  ;D

I see it's still 81. Must be a hotspot of sorts.

I don't think I'd rely on a hotel web site for the weather, unless it was using data specifically linked from something like weather.com

It also currently lists the humidity at 15% when actually it's a balmy 82% with a temperature of only 61F.  I think folks are going to be chillier than they may expect.

You may be spot-on there. A light jacket in evenings when we venture out for dinner or bar-hops, or pink zone strolls will suffice. With temps in the 90s here I welcome a week of sudden cool temps. I find the humidity is tolerable when heat is not also a factor.

Hi all

Just a quick note..the weather is cool in the mornings, very pleasant during the day, with a few rain showers, some day's not all, evening you will need a jacket.

So far I have been through two nights of very heavy rain, thunders/lightening storms, I love them but they don´t seem to last for long, so don´t worry too much.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon, IAC is full on so looking forward to getting some rest and relaxation with friends.

Hugs

Santi says don't wear any jewelry because they will tear it right off of you (I have yet to determine who they are.)

He also says no backpacks because that screams "tourist" (so effectively he's volunteered to carry all my bags and those of my friends while we're shopping.)

And I'll add that he's never been to Mexico City.  I'm willing to go along with avoiding "attention-seeking behaviour," but I doubt someone I don't know is going to rip out my nipple ring.
