Two Year Anniversary
« on: September 14, 2006, 06:53:03 pm »
Hello!

It's been quite awhile since I posted, but I do check in often (mostly to correspond with a dear friend I have come to know through this site.) Tomorrow marks 2 years since I was diagnosed, and looking back I am amazed at how much has changed yet so much has stayed the same. I'm very lucky that I have never been sick despite somre really scary initial numbers. I'm doing very well on meds, numbers are quite good and I feel terrific.

The purpose of my post is two-fold. First, to thank everyone on Aidsmeds who were there for me during those difficult first weeks and months. I was very lucky to find this site the very same day I was diagnosed (thanks, Google!) and found great information and lots of empathy. Secondly, for those of you who have just been diagnosed, a word of encouragement -- life does go on, and you still have a LOT of life left in you. Learn all you can from the wonderful lessons and people here, find yourself a great doctor and do everything possible to take control of things that you can control.

Thanks again to everyone for being here. Like I wrote, I don't post often anymore, but continue to be hovering around cyberspace and am with you always.

Good health to all!

Rob

Hello Rob, it is Eldon.

First of all Happy Anniversary. Secondly, it is good to hear that you are doing well and that your med regime is working. Keep up the good work and continue to have the positive attitude that you have been having.

Have the BEST Day!
