Hi guys,
I would really need to enjoy my vacay but I cannot. Exactly two weeks ago, after partying at a club, downing shots and bottles of beer, my friend and I before heading home stopped by this "secret garden". I never had any form of sexual contact for about 2 years till this time. Amongst all the people there this guy was the yougest and best looking so to cut the long story short, he went behind the bushes and I followed. I gave him a bj and he did the same. He did not come cause I think he was there longer than we were and had other people suck him already. He was kinda drunk and was using poppers. I dunno about pre cum if there was. So after these incident, I started to get bothered, I had sore throat or tonsilitis two days after the incident. (I've been easily getting tonsilitis since I was a kid), I started to itch without rashes on the first week, ( this could be due to the very cold aircon at the offfice where we just moved in) and then I had to go on vacay. After reading all stuff about HIV in the net, I think I started paying close attentions to whats happening to my body. Exactly two weeks after the incident, I am down with mild flu. I read somewhere symptoms may show as early as two weeks. Is this due to paranoia that my body is reacting to what I think I might be having or is this a real reason to think I am infected. Gosh what a bummer if after being not actiev for the longerst time, I got it with just that one stupid encounter. Any advice?

You were never at risk of contracting HIV in the situations you've provided.

Thanks. My only fear was there could have been a risk like when I tried deep troath...... and what what if he had pre cum. I dont want to start sounding like I can never be convinced but I just want to enjoy my vacay. I will get tested in 3 months time. This just really sucks. No pun intended.

You can test as you like and collect your negative result. You had no risk.

Your saliva has over a doezn elements and proteins which very effectively prevent the transmission of viable HIV.
The only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. As long as you consistently use condoms for those activities you will be well protected against the sexual transmission of HIV. It is just that simple.
Given what you have reported I expect you to test negative and testing is only for your peace of mind.

Thanks you guys. This will make these few days of vacationing better. Really appreciate your feedbacks.

You're welcome. Really nothing more to add at this point.
