Can a MOD help, please?
« on: July 27, 2007, 12:06:51 am »
I am trying to read the thread by appleboy on the medication he is trying, but everytime I open that post it freezes my browser. It's the only post in the entire forum that has done that. Can you help, please?

Hi Jamie,

I can't see anything in that thread that might bugger up your browser - maybe it's just the length of the thread. Are you by chance clicking on the "all" button? Try clicking on the "1" or "2" so you don't download the whole thing at once. You might also try closing all your other browser windows before attempting to open the thread. It may also be the adverts on the page - see if you can't block adverts using your anti-virus software and try again.

And speaking of anti-virus, it could be that you have spyware installed on your machine that needs to be cleaned up. I use a free program called "adaware" (google it) and if you're on a MicroSoft system, they also have anti-spyware software available on their website. (again, google it)

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

Not that this answers your questions, Jamie...... but if you want to enter a vaccine or meds trial out, you can call (800) 411-1222 for NIH's patient recruitment center.

They'll go through your length of diagnosis, numbers, and tolerance for adventure to pimp you out to study coordinators for whom you would be a good candidate.  By and large, NIH researchers, study coordinators, and medical techs are very warm, caring, and appreciative.... and many of the Public Health Service guys are totally hot (esp in their "Officer and a Gentleman" dress whites) and Gay!

I wouldn't be off meds and confident of my health if it was not for NIH.....and some lucky genes!

Cheers,
David
