More good news!
My dad stopped by work on his through town and took me to lunch. He brought the clothes that I had left in my grandmother's closet after the funeral (I drove 300 miles last weekend to get them, only to discover that my aunt had cleaned out the closet and put it all in storage!) He also wrote me a nice fat check that I think will cover about 1/3 of what I estimate I need for Montreal (YAY DAD!)
And I just checked the mail and my Iowa birth certificate arrived! One week after ordering it! (and I got one from my mom Saturday, too.) Also got a check from a class-action lawsuit; only six bucks, but money is money!
And I just went through the post with the Toronto pictures...fantastic!
I'm so flipping excited! Dream come true, I'll say again!

PS - would someone PLEASE remind me not to buy anything that requires ironing? I hate to iron, but it seems all the clothes I buy need ironing (darn those natural fibers!)....I refuse to spend a LOT of time in Montreal at the ironing board....take me back to the DISCO era when everything was polyester

This is still a bit early for being certain of the weather but the tendency for the weather during the gathering looks like this : this is expected to be cloudy all week in Montreal ( but no rain is expected at this time ), the temperatures won't be too hot either.
August 15 : approx. 21C ( 69,8F)
August 16 : approx. 20C ( 68,0F)
August 17 : approx. 25C ( 77,0F)
August 18 : approx. 27C ( 80,6F)
August 19 : approx. 23C ( 73,4F)
August 20: approx. 24C ( 75,2F) Quebec City : approx. 21C
August 21 : approx. 25C ( 77,0F)
As a reference : 30C = 86F
I'll post next Monday what is expected for the week to come then, and at that time it'll be more accurate. The weather forecast concerning Quebec City is perfect for visiting the City as it'll be comfortable. ;)

i tossed a ball for puppy tonight for her to fetch... but with an impeccably bad throw, i beaned her in the head. I told her "it's okay sweetie, i've taken many balls to the face'. At least she got a treatie after that which is more than i ever got.
