helo this is 25 year old male.i had unprotected vaginal sex with a sex worker.25 days ago.i feared of possible hiv exposure.doctor here told me the only way of detecting is the HIV Antibody test . method used ELISA ( Vironostika HIV AG/Ab ) i have repeated the test twice since then. once in 7 days and one after 22 days.both non reactive (MA) i know i have to keep repating the test as window period is of six week.But i want to ask this is a good sign indeed.? people do test positve in ealry stages aswell.?
the syptoms which iv noticed is pimples like 10- 15 of them them come in one day ang go , lil ittch but really small.my mind is playing games about othe minor symtoms. but other then that i have noticed nothing major that i should share . pls advice on this . and any other test which i should run for early detection

You have had a risk and you do need further testing.
The earliest you should test is at six weeks. The vast majority of people who have actually been infected will seroconvert and test positive by six weeks, with the average time to seroconversion being only 22 days.
A six week negative is highly unlikely to change, but must be confirmed at the three month point.
Only a fourth generation hiv test that includes antibody testing plus p24 antigen testing can pick up an infection in the first two to three weeks.
Any antibody test is conclusive at three months and any antibody test will also normally pick up an infection by six weeks. However, a six week negative must still be confirmed at the three month point.
We do not discuss symptoms on this forum. Neither symptoms nor even the lack of symptoms will ever tell you a single thing about your hiv status. ONLY testing at the appropriate time will.
Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:
You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.
To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.
Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.
Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.
If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.
Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

hello, i have posted ealier but havent discussed this aspect which was far most important.ill just some of your thoughts on this.i had an unprotected encounter with a csw.next day i went for elisa test on archtect abbot ab/ag 4gen test it was a borderline postive 1.15, next day repeted in another lab using the same machine and reactive 1.35. after 7 days in a refferal lab ( NIH ) using vironostika 4 gen ab/ag plus every time they run on rapid test aswell determine and bioline.1 week= negtive.3 weeks=negtive.5 weeks=neg.the csw agreed to get tested .she tested negtive on three different labs in NIH, and two very other two reputed labs .BUT DID NOT ON ABBOT.week 8 again i test from another very good lab (AGHA KHAN) using ECLIA 4gen cobas 6000 (e601) Negtive.week 10 from (Agha khan) negtive.week 12 (NIH) negtive.Week 14 from (NIH) negtive.now after reading an incent of a person who was testing negtive on other instrument but testing postive on abbot.i decided to go to another lab with have abbot but not from the one which gave me a postive.abbot week 16 non reactive but high index value 0.83 cutoff 1.0 .week 18 from NIH negtive. i have seen some very confusing things with my gf after she gave me a breif oral without educlation(the only encounter in this time).follicular tonsilitus for a week.three weeks later rash on her both arms ,was there for a week. and fever.head ace. dry cough.i havent told her im testing..
is this testing conclusive?
can i be harmfull to my gf seeing whats going on with her as i mentioned.
can my result on abbot fall back from 1.35 ton0.83. does this high index value mean anything?
should i WB to be more sure? iv read all kinds on different confusing cases
can be this a rear strain bcz the csw also got negtive from other meachines but not on abbot.???

okay thanks an.ill go along the rules now.
but pls answer my query i had reactive results (close to 1 ) twice on abbot but later on other instruments i dint. why???? then after 16 weeks i tested on abbot again and they asked for my blood twice??? bcz readings were close to 1. cant this be some thing that only abbott is piking up.
will WB give a more clear picture???
have u seen cases like these before .like i just have used combo test of differnt kinds? not PCR OR WB. does the protogole of testing say to repeat elisa after two elisa turned postive on one meachine?

HIV tests are geared to lean towards sensitivity over specificity. Therefore, if you test enough, you are likely to get an indeterminate result or a false positive. Sometimes these ar efollowed up with a Western Blot, but in the incident you mention, it is abvious that it was NOT a true positive (the faint line).
Add to that the fact that you had no risk (getting oral is NO RISK for HIV, a fact that seems to have deserted you) and the results are clear.
You are reliably HIV negative. You do not have HIV.
You can not GET HIV through the stuff you described.
And that's about all we can say on the matter. Your other breathless details are totally irrelevant.
