This is interesting, if not necessarily a true step forward in treatment:

You'd think if malaria "cured" AIDS then Africa would have the world's lowest infection rate.

I wonder if they are paying volunteers? Could malaria be worse than liquid norvir or crixivan?

although it is a very risky, and no experiment basis theory, there are somethnig that is interesting.

1.  Malaryia is caused by a kind of germ that is very closed to our macrophage.  (Correct me if I am wrong).
2. Macrophage will normally engulf HIV, and present its gene upon the top of it,they also produce IL-1 to CD4,  so CD4 can recognise it and produce IL2 to neighbor CD4, CD8 and B cell.
3. use malaryia to replace the function of macrophage, if we insert Cd4 receptor and CCR5 to the malaryia surface, the virus may "mistakenly" to engulf by the malaryia cell.
4. Once the malaryia has the virus gene present on its surface, it will become an "antigen" and start to similulate the antibody to be created, folllowing our normal immune system function.
5.  And there fore, the HIV will not cause AIDS.

Now the big issue will be, step 3 and 4.  from my point of view, unless this doctor can creat certain kind of "gene modify malayria" or it is difficult to make it happen

Good idea. Inject malaria to HIV infected people so that they can die faster.

Over 3 billion people live under the threat of malaria. It kills over a million each year – mostly children. (http://rbm.who.int/wmr2005/)

The malaria parasite infects red blood cells, it does not eat viruses. If there is a bacteria or a parasite that eats viruses, that would be something to look at.

I don't really understand the scientific basis of this. Ha's post doesn't make sense to me, and malaria is pretty dangerous. I think this is another once-prominant doctor with a God complex.

Malariotherapy. Jeez.
