I’m currenlh taking triumeq. Has anyone successfully did these cleanses? Did they work? What were the effects?

Hi,
I have also wanted to "detox" for a while now, however since i must have a meal with my meds, i have avoided. The main reason is to lose wait quickly. Even though i want to do this, i do NOT live in the illusion that i am actually "detoxing" anything - IMHO there is no such thing!
"Cleanses", "detoxes" and the such are marketing spins. You cannot "cleanse" your liver - your liver cleanses itself! You can help by eating properly and by avoiding bad foods, alcohol etc that damage the liver.
The same goes for "detox" - your liver actually "detoxes" your body - it is the blood filter.
All the rest is detoxed and cleansed though your digestive system and then down the toilet.
All these programs basically encourage us to starve ourselves which leads to loss of weight and, after initial headaches, a sense of lightness and better feeling. The benefits of fasting have been studied for years. Regardless of what you do and why you do it, i highly recommend you to check with your HIV doctor, because some of the things that you are planning on taking may have bad interactions with your meds depending on which meds you take (e.g. the milk thistle http://i-base.info/htb/6874 ). Interested in your results if you in fact DO decide to "clean up".
good luck!
