New lab results and a welcome med change...
« on: January 16, 2013, 12:17:10 am »
Wow... I haven't been back here in a while.  Hope everyone is going well and the year is off to a good start.

Just got my new lab results today... CD4 is now 239/21% (!), all of my other wonky CBC results have returned to within normal ranges, albeit some just barely - progress is progress of course.  No VL yet, the VL machine was broken so they're working through a backlog it sounds like.

Also made the decision to change from Atripla to Stribild.  (Nurse wanted to go back to prezista/truvada, doc wanted to do stribild, and I didn't care much)  Paranoia, Anxiety, and other mental things didn't suit me... I was convinced someone was trying to break in and kill me on a nightly basis for the last couple of weeks!

Ok back to chilling with the cats and tv... and a little snack now that I can eat later at night now :-D
1/2014 - CD4 446 | HIV VL 157 (i was sick that week too!)
11/2013 - changed from Atripla to Complera (not from CD4 drop, because Sustiva makes me crazy!)
10/2013 - CD4 214 VL UD
9/2013 - CD4 276 VL UD
7/2013 - CD4 367 VL UD
4/8/13 - CD4 288/23% | HIV VL UD! | HBV VL 86
1/15/13 - CD4 239/21% | HIV VL 43 | HBV VL 2800
11/15/12 - VL 1,100 :)
10/27/12 - Switch to Atripla
10/15/12 - Changed from Bactrim to Dapsone
9/25/12 - Diag HBV+, CD4 49 CD4% 13.8  VL 1.2Mil
(started Norvir, Prezista, Truvada + Bactrim + Fluconazole)

I'm dealing with stribild ok so far. Been on it for about a week, no serious side effects. Some headaches and vivid dreams, one episode of night sweats. Light nausea the first few days. All totally manageable. Hope it works out just as well for you!

I take mine in the morning with no problems, FYI. I've cut back on drinking a lot since my DX but not all together so i wanted a pill i could trust myself to really take at the same time every day (a time when I am always sober!)

lol I haven't had a drink in what feels like a year... thinking a little tequila might be in order this weekend to celebrate :)  I'd invite you along but I won't be in nyc until I have some candidates to interview for an open position on my team up there, I can't wait to get back to nyc for a few days... love that place!

Got the VL results today... 43!!!!!! :-)

Staying on Atripla after all, I'll do some more 'bending' to the virus and meds since it doesn't work the other way... and obviously it's working!
