Suggestion for new AIDS slogan
« on: June 30, 2006, 07:30:50 pm »
My idea for drawing the proper attention to the HIV pandemic is to approach it like fighting a war.  Instead of fighting world war III, lets start fighting world war HIV.  My idea for the new slogan drawing attention to the unfinished fight:  Welcome to WWHIV (Welcome to World War HIV).

lgnd,

You posted this in the Blogs Comments forum, which isn't really the right place for it. I've moved it to Off Topic for you.

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

HIV, this shit SUCKS ASS!

How about some suggestion from 'http://thesurrealist.co.uk/slogan' it's a slogan generator website, you put in a word and it adds it to a well known slogan, can sometimes be quite funny

;D

Hope nobody minds if I inject a little bit of seriousness here...  ::)

Something just struck me as I was answering a post in Am I. Damn neighbours, wish they'd stop throwing things through my window.  :-\

Anyway, I was thinking that a new campaign might be in order to counteract the "Abstinence Only Pledge" bullshit.

Condom Contracts.

Get people to commit to using condoms for intercourse. Give out free cartons of condoms with each contract signed.

Yeah, right Ann, can you see High Schools rolling out the Red Ribbon Carpet for you?

I must still be asleep in my bed, dreaming.

~sigh~

I remember even very late 70s very early 80s..."

"AYDS helped me lose 75 lbs."
"I went out and got myself AYDS and I lost 80 lbs"
"You need to take off those extra holiday lbs? Why not go out and get AYDS?"
