Since Oct`06  HPV for the third time : (on the front side so to speak )
First time it has been a 2 months timeout , then last month and now
Twice it has been removed with acid and it was relatively OK.
But I`m tired to do that again and scared because I know the consequences if I don`t  do it.......................also scared because there is a famous connection beetwen HPV and penile / anal cancer
Any advices or similar experiences ?

I wouldn't worry too much - the subtype of HPV that causes genital warts is subtype 11. The subtypes that're associated with anal cancer are 16 and 18.

I was treated with trichloroacetic acid over several sessions before being clear of anal warts ...i´ve been clear now for almost 3 years.  Let your dermatologist test the wart for subtype

Sacha,
Your best bet is to treat warts as soon as you realize they are there.  The earlier you catch it, the better!  Your  doctor should also take a look inside the urethra, just in case.  If it makes you feel better, there is something called a peniscopy.  I did that three years ago and everything was fine. 
The same is true for anal warts.

I just had my second round of surgery last Thursday to remove anal warts (almost exactly a year after the first).  In between had 2 recurrences that were successfully treated wtih Aldara.  My doc, says it can sometimes take many treatments before they are gone for good, so hang in there.  Fortunately, the Aldara works for me on the external ones (only about 30% effective).  The surgery is only needed for internal ones.  I've caught all mine fairly early, which makes things easier -- although sitting at work all day is a major Pain in my A..... (well, you get it)  and don't even ask me about screams when I go to the bathroom............   ::)

Hang in there-- treat 'em when you get 'em and hopefully they will stop coming.

Yep, I've gone through 4 round swith the damn HPV.   Too bad Gardasil isn't a therapeutic vaccine.  Has it even been tested on men?
