Back from the drs yesterday..and..
« on: April 09, 2008, 11:00:37 am »
ok..I have posted about my tcells being 161 and jumping to 335 but my VL was 402
Now my doctor says, Take 2 lexiva instead of one and that should help my VL go back to undectable..

So I take one truvada, 2 Lexiva, and 2 norviar............

HOpe that helps...

My skin has been brusing very easily, and now I see viens where I never had them before.
On my leg especially on my ankles..and it seems it all happened over the last year.

My doctor told me its from my liver...OK.

So I am going to start treatment for hep c in september..

The doctor said to me ..enjoy this summer ( cant be in the sun when on hep c meds)
So i am going to enjoy this summer as much as possible.

I just hate the thought of starting the hep c treatments, but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do.....

If i get to sick, I will just ask to be taken off them,, If I can take 6 months, at least
my liver will have some repair...If I can go the whole 9-12 months, then Ill do it.

Wish me luck guys, and ill keep you all posted... ;)

Well, hopefully you'll post between now and September, Ubotts!

Good luck with the added Lexiva.  And you know I've got my fingers (and legs) crossed for you when you start the hep C treatment.

Hey.
May I ask why they are waiting so long to start treatment?
My sister got Hep A & C at the same time. (Something to do with the water at water therapy) She was practically bedridden as it wasn't diagnosed until it was in the advanced, final  stages...and this with her going to a doctor practically every week. O.O ...boy was I upset. I was given the explanation that yes, she had a lot of bloodwork done, she has a lot going on with her, but that they (Medicaid)  don't just 'do tests' for things like Hepatitis unless asked to..O.O..They put her on Interferon and she took it for a year. She was 'CURED' as there is now no trace of Hep in her body and it has been 4 years.  Needless to say we were surprised as we had been led to believe that there was no cure. But every year, they do a test and it comes back Negative.

Good Luck in your treatment,
ronnie

My doctor told me it was alright to start in september, I guess if it was really bad she would of started me sooner..

I have a little over a million copies....Some people have 20 million copies and more, so I guess I have some time...

I am not looking forward to Sept. but I will do it..

Also,
I have been undectable for 8 yrs....but recently with my new meds, I became detecable
so thats why they put me on Noviar twice a day..
Before I was taking truvada, one pill, Lexiva 2 pill and Noviar once a day...thats why she
changed it to Noviar twice a day...I go back in 6 weeks to see if by this combo
my VL will go back to being undectable...

Anyway..thanks for wishing me luck...I could use it..

Sounds like you've thought it through and are on the right track. Nothing like inner peace to keep on going with a decision you have made.
