My boyfriend is now ultra detectable!!!

It's been a while since I wrote here and I have to report that my boyfriend who found out he was positive in April of 2014 went from undetectable in October of 2015 to ultra detectable just this pass April. This viral load is less 10 and his CD4 is at 1500. His doctor changed his medicine from Atripla to Odefsey in April. She says that Odefsey is less harmful on the body. I hope when he goes back in October his numbers are still good, either way I am with him for the long run.

Not sure what you mean by 'ultra-detectable'.

If his VL is < 10 he is still undetectable. For many of us in other parts of the world, undetectable means < 40. Not long ago it was < 200 (and it is that definition which is used by the PARTNER study).

With his high CD4 count and undetectable virus, he is doing fine and dandy.

undetectable is undetectable.... there is no "ultra" undetectable, there is no distinction or shades of UD... you're using a meaningless term in a confusing way

but congratulations regardless, i can tell you're happy, and you have good reason to be 

your partner has responded well to treatment!
