http://ets.freetranslation.com/
I'll begin with a popular phrase we should all know:
Pardon me, but could you tell me where the bathroom is with the glory holes?
which is
Me pardonner, mais pourriez-vous me dire qu'où la salle de bains est avec les trous de gloire ?
-
This translator isn't too good. ???
Pardonnez-moi, pourriez vous me dire ou est la salle de bain ainsi que les trous de gloire ? :P
The Canuck
P.S. We don't really have a French equivalent for '' glory holes '' and asked for '' trous de gloire '' would lead you anywhere but there. ::)
-
argh
my balls are blue... would you like to suck on them?
Mes balles sont bleues. Aimeriez-vous sucer sur eux ?
-
::)
The Canuck
We don't use '' balls '' over here so your translation means here '' balle '' as in a playing ball ( baseball,etc..). In Montreal they will understand '' gosse ''. The term blue wouldn't work either...but '' full '' (plein) in French would do it.
J'ai les gosses pleines. Aimerais-tu les sucer ? :o
P.S. I forgot to mention we are using a lot '' couilles '' as well...so you can replace '' gosses '' by '' couilles ''.
-
dammit... I hate online translators :P
maybe we should just submit all our favorite 'need to phrases' to you canuck?
-
Yes I guess it would be easier. Now I'm wondering if you will remember any of them when coming to Montreal, or able to pronounce them. ???
I wouldn't mind translating them though...and in Montreal you can ask me again and will teach ya' how to pronounce. ;)
The Canuck
-
maybe we should schedule a seminar on 'phrases to hook up"?
-
Nah..not a seminar...we can do this while drinking beers and watching guy's asses . :P
-
This one is a handy phrase to learn and a polite way to start a conversation.
Bonjour, Je ne parle pas français, vous parlez anglais
(Hello, I do not speak French, do you speak English?)
My problems arose, however, as I speak Strine or Strayan, and most people had a very difficult time understanding my accent :o.
-
It's ok Steve...I mean the French is good..but can't tell about the accent though. :-X
The Canuck
P.S. What is Strine or Strayan ?
-
i can see ass anywhere's. I want to see man junk danglin in mah face.... and actually i want to see manjunk danglin in JAN'S face.... woot
Where do you tip them or do you just slide your credit card down their butt crack?
-
Personally, I don't hold with all this foreign talk. People everywhere should speak Strayan. Things would be much easier. ;) Nevertheless in a spirit of international good-will, I know that Bucko parlez the francais pretty good and he's going to Montreal. Stick with him.
MtD

Yes of course there's ass everywhere..you'll have the junk danglin' into your face..and whoever's face that will be there. 8)
For tips..well...you put it in their slips before they take them off...and when off..they still have their hands..if you go in a private cabin for '' junk danglin' special ''...then it's $10.00 + a tip..let's say about $15.00 for a '' special ''. :P

and what does a special get ya?
-
hey Canuck,
Strayan is the official language of Australia. When we say Australian, it tends to sound like Strayan or Strine to those unfamiliar with our accent.
But don't worry, it is not only the French Canadians that have a problem with our accent. I had a hell of time communicating with people in the USA on my first trip there back in the 80's. According to Matty, my accent is fairly broad, but my family thinks I speak all posh like cause I'm "a poofta livin' in the eastern suburbs" ::).
-
i get woodies for aussie accents :)
-
well..it depends of the places. I must say that I haven't been to see '' jigglin' junk '' in quite some times...but you can't have it closer than that in those cabins...some guys would let you touch them too. I think the funkiest for that in Montreal is the '' Taboo ''.

methinks we should all chip in a buy JAN (anniebc) a lap dance :)

Your accent is broad babe! Almost bogan broad!!! ;)

Thanks for the explanation Steve ! About every countries have their accent so that's the way it is. We even have very different ones in Quebec depending of the area. Our French is somewhat different than in France, although there's a few regions in France who speaks a bit similar to us since we mostly originated from those regions.
When i was in London it took me about a day to get used to their accent but somewhat able to get it eventually, yet sometimes I didn't understand certain words.
In the early 80s I went to Memphis and Nashville. When we left the restaurant the waitress said to me '' Have a nice day '', well I didn't get it all...it sounded anything but this. A friend of mine told me what she said as I was lost. In a burger restaurant..the lady asked me if I wanted '' ??????? '' something in my burger..well I still don't know what she said..and I kept saying yes to everything. After I made her repeat it three times she was getting annoyed so I stick to '' yes ''. :-X

-
She might have the time to scream '' take it off '' as they don't start naked. 8)

So Claude, you had a difficult time understanding people in Memphis and Nashville???
Alan (who fears that Claude won't be able to understand a word I say)
When I say "Claude" it comes out: Claawed
-
Alan,
Well..I didn't have a problem to understand everyone down there but only some person. it was also my first trip down South and my ears weren't trained too much for what I was about to hear. ::)
I'll certainly be able to understand you..and if I don't I'll keep answering '' yes ''. ;D

-
Congratulation Sae !! ;)
The Canuck
(Who will be careful to what he says in French in Sae's presence)
-
DingoBoi,
You'll have to work a bit harder on your French as Rocky is in advance on you. I had to talk to him a bit earlier this evening and he impressed me with some French. It was pretty good and actually understood everything he said.
You have some work ahead of ya' boy !!! ;)
