My thoughts?

I take a prescribed multivitamin from my doctor because of certain nutrient issues and have always taken multivitamins in the past.

My tcells have dropped anyway.

2 months ago I just got lazy and stopped taking the vitamins - stupid I know.  I also started eating a lot of crap food like sausage pizza and coca-cola almost everyday....and my last results showed a significant increase in my tcells.

So what are my thoughts?

I believe in prescribed meds being at this point the only thing PROVEN to counter the virus - everything else is just too whimsical in its results to be considered more than just something one needs to keep in mind for a general over all healthy lifestyle regardless of HIV and as such no real effect on the virus itself.

Just my take.

Now I've heard everything. If my dog gets aids I'll make sure to read this article.

p.s. My thoughts? My dog can lick his butt and I don't recommend doing that either...besides, he might bite you.

Yeah, what's up with posting a link from a web site about animals?  Let's see, this week on AIDSmeds I learned that I have AIDS-Face and am a dog.  Great.

Holy Crap!  I didn't even bother to read the article.

I wonder if that article counts about pets who use poppers?   ;)

a person can always take meth  and increase the speed that the virus damages the body

this is proven scientifically

i have seen lots of people do that in calif.

one guy looks ten years older in 1 year and lost many teeth

all i am saying that nutrients are important

some guys here really hold a grudge

anger and mean ness

why cannot someone try to say vitamins are good for the body

of course haart is the only thing that stops the virus

that is given

if you read the article you see the details about

cytokines TNF and other immune molecules that are helped

and anti oxidants that hurt the body

feel free to smoke cigs and such just not my thing

i perfer exercise

work out

health

travel

this week i will be in DC at four seasons hotel
meeting with a lobby consulting group
so i wont have time to post

but there are tons of great new breakthrus

the most exciting to me is the vaccine with 28 different parts of the virus... this could be big

Is there a separate article regarding K9S?

dude, unless you are eating dog food too..then by all means...personally i will take my advice from a HUMAN doctor...would you take your dog your HIV specialist for diet and nutrition? A DVM is a doctor of veterinary medcine and is NOT a specialist when it comes to supplements...

I can tell you with authority that many HAART regimens are not tolerated with supplements...and if, by this article, you are suggesting that we stop HAART and try to treat ourselves...you are traveling a very bumpy and dangerous road.

I didn't "get" the meth addiction comment as it relates to posting articles about canine vitamin intake.  Or that people here are "angry" when they point out that something is aimed at pets.

Bim,

Get real. You might be a dog, but most of the rest of us are human.

That article is absolute crap for hiv positive people. For a start, we are supposed to avoid echinacea. As for the rest, well, read your own thread.

In future, please remember that this forum is for Nutrition and HIV - not nutrition and your pet. Sheesh.
