Blood on sparring session

(1/2) > >>

Hello. 3 months ago, i was in a gym club for praticing jiu-jitsu. I sparred (rolling not punches or kicks) with a Guy and we Both had kimono Gi for about 3 minutes. During the sparring i cut his finger with my nail and AT the end of the session, je was bleeding a litte bit and i notices there was blood on my GI and a little bit on my hand.

I immediatly went to the bathroom to wash and check my face. There were no blood, only on my hand and i dont remember having cuts.

Is it a risk sir?

I did a test 47 days layer with a veine( blood drawn) and it came back négative. Thé test was eclia on cobas e 411. It was only mentionned no antibodies but nothing about agp.

I dont know if i have to test again or if it is conclusive.

When i search on Google they Say cobas e 411 is a 4 génération test but on my result, it was written only antibodies not present

Jim Allen:

Read your post three times, you had no HIV risk from the events posted here.
Relax and move on with your life.

Here's what you need to know to avoid HIV infection:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse correctly and consistently, with no exceptions. Consider talking to your healthcare provider about PrEP as an additional layer of protection against HIV

Keep in mind that some sexual practices described as safe in terms of acquiring HIV still pose a risk for other easier acquired STIs. So please do get tested at least yearly for STIs, including but not limited to HIV, and more frequently if condomless intercourse occurs.

Also, note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms, and the only way of knowing is by testing.

Kind regards

Hello Jim. Thanks for you response. I thought in presence of blood, there is a risk no? They Say it is incluses in the contamination mode.

I receive blood on my hand, it was fresh blood not only 1 drop, but i dont remember if i had some cuts, thats why i am anxious.
