Okay,
So let me start by saying this. I have never had sex. I have never done drugs, let alone shared needles. I have never had a blood transfusion and my mom does not have HIV.
One night I saw a TV show on HIV and wondered if I could have it.
A few weeks ago I had the 24 hour flu. The next day 2 lymph nodes on the right side of my neck flared up. Since then I have been having tingling all on the right side of my face and neck, along with one time in my left foot. I have seen 3 doctors who tell me I am at no risk. Then one said I have seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp (same size as the nodes). Ive been under stress for the past 2 weeks worrying im infected (alot of the symptoms apply from what i've read online).
The only thing I have done out of normal life is masturbated into toilet paper a few times about 2-4 weeks ago, and about a month ago cut my ankle playing street hockey.

What stage of HIV does seborrheic dermatitis come? Whats happening to me!

Thanks

Hey,
So before I get told, I am on OCD meds and seeign a psychiatrist/psycologist. However today at the grocery store I took my blood pressure.. my arm had a sharp pain, maybe because i was thinking, but is it possible for a needle or pin to be in the cuff of the machine at the store? and can this infect me?

If you Serorrheic dermatitis it has nothing to do with HIV..you really need to educated yourself, and stop beliveing everything you hear on TV.

Go see a doctor about your physical problems. They have nothing to do with HIV.

If and when you get around to having sex, as long as you consistently use condoms for vaginal and/or anal intercourse, you will be well protected against the sexual transmission of HIV.

HIV is a fragile virus and you are not available to becoming infected through the ordinary activities of life.

You do need to become better educated about it so read the lessons as Jan has suggested. This epidemic is going to be around for a longtime to come so you need to know more about it to protect yourself.

You are not going to become infected with hiv by being pinched by a blood-pressure machine. Hiv is NOT transmitted from objects in the environment and that includes blood-pressure machines, doorknobs, countertops, toilet seats, light switches or anything else.

Hiv is a fragile, difficult to transmit virus that is primarily transmitted INSIDE the human body as in unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse.

Once outside the body, small changes in temperature, and pH and moisture levels all quickly damage the virus and render it unable to infect. This is why hiv in the environment will not infect you.

As an adult, the only ways that you would be at risk for hiv infection is if you share drug injecting equipment or have anal or vaginal intercourse without using condoms.

Here's what you need to know in order to remain hiv negative:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST OVER ANYTHING YOU HAVE BROUGHT TO US, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Keep working with your therapist so you can overcome your hiv phobia. However, you need to know that you will NOT be permitted to use this website to continually ask questions about hiv transmission that do not have anything to do with the real ways hiv is transmitted. We are not a substitute for your therapist. Make sure you read and abide by the rules in the Welcome thread I linked you to in the beginning of my response to you.
