Title: There's a Mouse in the House
Post by: rondrond on January 31, 2011, 04:57:53 am
I was fighting my neuropathy and trying to go to sleep in the recliner when a box at the end of the box.....jerked.  I jumped up hobbled over cautiously.

There is a light over the silk screen behind the sofa on a dimmer switch and I slowly turned up the light just in time to see a tail disappear under the sofa.

I set a box of pellets in the corner behind the sofa and have been patiently waiting for the sounds of munching....so far...to no avail.

my biggest fear is that it has made a nest under the sofa..and it's a sofa bed. I'm not ready to pull it out yet and take a look. ..procrastination...but I WILL have to eventually because if it did eat any of the pellets, I don't want it rotting under there.

It's times like these I miss Darcell...she was a good hunting dog.

..or...I could invite these mouse hunters over and ogle lust watch  with the younger one from the top of the furniture... :P   daddy has a nice mouse hunting body...imho

Did you know that all rodents have the same DNA we have, don't know if it's cuz, they live among us and eat our trash, when I was a kid 7 to 8 yrs old, I used to rise Rats, until they would breed so many times, I just gave up and donated them to the American Cancer Society  :D

i finally caught my mouse, he was in my bathroom. Cornered him behind the toilet and scooped him up with a big gulp cup and a magazine. He was so tiny and cute, looked like a brown cotton ball with a tail. Didnt want to hurt him so I set him loose in the back yard...although chances are he froze to death over the past couple weeks :(

My Bappity was watching me the whole time (from afar). I guess Im feeding him too much and a mouse doesnt interest him.

That sounds like my kittie, General Beauregard Horatio McGillicutty (aka The General), he would have done the same.
