Atripla & Ambien taken together.

I was diagnosed this year.

My CD4 count is 256, my White Blood cell Count was 2100 with a percentage of 41%. I was told my numbers are still low and I need to start treatment.

I was given Rx for Atripla & Ambien.

I am scared crapless, what can I expect when I finally take it? I asked the Dr but that seems like a blur this morning.

I have a fulltime job will I be able to work for the first couple of days?

Take the Atripla before you go to bed, use the ambien and you probably won't even notice the major side effects which are generally very short lived.

i take ambien and atripla, works for me....love my ambien otherwise i don't fall asleep, so definitely is helpful

Thank you both for answering. I am still in shock & scared. I have come to accept that this wil be part of my life forever, I still do not understand how this happened. I haven't had sex in almost 4 years. I do not use drugs EVER and I tested positive. Based on my CD4 # is it possible to determine when you became infected year wise?

Absolutely not.  The only way to tell is if you tested negative had a singular risk experience and then tested positive.

I take half an ambiem and Atripla together. Sleep through the night just fine. Second week on Atripla and I am doing well.  Broke out in a rash day seven but it seems to have resolved itself. Bath in avenno. Good luck.
