Just trying to make things better…
« on: April 24, 2022, 05:54:38 pm »
I work around hard women. One called me boring. They don’t have manners. Their men treat them terrible so they have relationship issues. I overheard them talking.
I guess I have the issue of being disliked and called boring because my life is being married, paying attention to my daughter, and avoiding conflict.
My supervisor thought it was ridiculous to take care of my husband while he had a picc line in his arm, in so much pain he had no idea what day it was, and a broken foot. I still took care of my husband. But it felt like I was treated as weak rather than like a woman caring for her spouse and family. I just don’t get it.

I commend you for taking care of him!!
People are changing...and not of the better.

I was fortunate to work places where being "boring" and taking care of a loved one was looked well upon.  It's sad you coworkers are not nice.

Now I am in a place that is much better. My husband goes back to work this Wednesday. He’s been off since February. My daughter is making me a birthday gift. I’m just happy she remembers my birthday. And I have a new job.
I agree that people are not always changing for the better. I think a lot is going on and maybe some people cannot deal with it all.
