Back To the Dermatologist
« on: December 07, 2006, 07:40:56 am »

I've got an appointment set up for 9:30 this morning. So in about 2 hours from now, the dermatologist will be removing another 3 warts from my face. :-\ All around the chin area, and one on the neck. I just got to try to stay on top of this, and catch them, while they are small. I am also going to have him give me a thourough going oveer today !

I was only in there about 6 weeks ago. At that time, he removed about 3 warts from my face, the worst one, being right on the corner of my lower lip. Everything the doctor did the last time, healed very well with no scar. He Did an excellant job. These warts come on so fast.

I just got home from work, so I am going to sit in the tub for a while relax !!

Just got back from the dermatologist. He ended up removing 4 warts on the face and one on the neck.
There going to wonder what happened to my face, when I go into work tonight.  :-[ As small as they were, the spots are quite noticible now !

He mentioned the possibility "Squaric acid Dibutylester" But said there was really no guarantee that this would work, Taking my immune system into account. Anyone familiar with this treatment. apparently it's done in the office. It's not a product one can purchase and apply themselves.

Until then, all the warts have been removed, he suggested I get an electric razor, for the time being. It may helpful in preventing the spreading of the warts during shaving. I really hate electric shavers, but I guess I will purchase one, if it does help in preventing the warts from  spreading. Next appointment in
2/1/07 ( or he said call sooner if need be)

Anyways, thats the latest,  I have always healed fast, so I will look like shit for a couple days. But I am doing OK !!

Hey Ray,

Dermatologists can be a godsend, can't they?

Hang in there and just tell your coworkers you're having a delayed attack of puberty and those spots are zits.  :D

HUGS,

Mark

I just had some CryoTherapy done  on some small warts and one of the KS leisons on my leg, (to see how well it would work)  so Im in the same boat,  blisters and all.  While its awkward for several days, I usually dont have any scaring  ..    Keep Your Chin Up.. ;)

I have had warts removed..not from face but other more sensitive area...I go back for check ups / clean up every three months.the Derm says virtually all are caused by a virus..a few exceptions.....so unless the virus is treated the warts will come back......so far the treatments are only for the actual  wart that you can see  none of the treatments by Derm attack the virus.....
I was sort of surprised to  learn that the the new  anti-cervical cancer shots for women may  at some point be used to treat warts caused by the same virus in men ( a variety of HPV) I wish I had paid more attention to the source but it was one of the recent articles about the treatment for young women using the shots as a vaccine to prevent infection with HPV...so heads up guys there may be some type of real treatment coming along... it happens that warts caused by a variety of HPV can appear almost anywhere on body...they are usually caused by contact with infected areas......

Hi Ray,

I had a rash all over my body about July 1994, I went to the company doctor who thought I had had a nervous breakdown.  My job was very high stress...  After weeks of treatment the company doctor sent me to a Dermatologist.  That Dermatologist asked at the first visit, "have you been tested for HIV?"  I had a negative test in July of that year and tested every 6 months.  I reported that.  Never went back for a second visit.

December and the semi-annual HIV test came with it.  The rash had gone away with the daily use of Aloe and all was forgotten.  That test was HIV+ and not a huge shock.  Technically, that Dermatologist in Seal Beach diagnosed my HIV...

After my AIDS diagnosis (2 years later), I let this guy move in.  He used to flaunt a copy of his negative test all over the bars in WEHO to Long Beach.  That negative test result can expire before it is issued.

I forgot what my point was but just remember Dick Chaney shot his Attorney in the face and got away with it.  Have the best day
Michael
