Bernie Sanders' Amazing 8.5-Hour Speech
« on: December 12, 2010, 10:23:51 am »
WOW.

Thank you to the people of Vermont for voting in such an intelligent, compassionate and articulate man as your Senator.

Sanders gave an impassioned 8-and-a-half hour speech. Here is a highlight from youtube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5OtB298fHY

from the speech:

"How can I get by on one house?" Sanders said. "I need five houses, ten houses! I need three jet planes to take me all over the world! Sorry, American people. We've got the money, we've got the power, we've got the lobbyists here and on Wall Street. Tough luck. That's the world, get used to it. Rich get richer. Middle class shrinks."

I've always liked Bernie Sanders.  Now, I am going to have to listen to the speech.
