New Tests Meaning, Comments ?

Hi, I got my new lab tests after starting treatment.
Please any remarks or comments about it I would greatly appreciate it.

Vl 362 log 2.55 previous more than 100,000
CD 155   6.4 % previous 46

Cd 8 T suppressors 1482 previous 575 this last value is way above the range (200-900) I know that when cd4 are low CD 8 go up, but before they weren't so high.......? and they were in range. This worries me a bit. I haven't been to the DR yet, until next week, surely I would appreciate any comments.Thanks.

I think you can be very happy, the VL drop is impressive. Wouldn't worry about the rest for a while. Give it time. :-)

I'm definitely no expert as I'm still learning myself.  From everything I've read, like newt said it is the vl that is most important after starting meds.  I've read that a person on meds with an undetectable vl but a CD4 of 250, for example, is much different from someone not on meds with the same CD4 but with a higher vl.  You've had a very good drop and I wouldn't be surprised if it has dropped to UD since you gave blood.  Your next lab will show whether that is the case.

About CD8 being high when CD4 is low...  I know when my CD4 was at 1,000, my CD8 was 1800.  It continues to stay around 1800 each time which is believed to be a good thing--means my body is fighting the virus.  So, I don't think the CD8 is only high when CD4 is low.  I think it is often high when you're not on meds regardless of what the CD4 is.  Anyone can correct me if I've said anything incorrect.
