I hate you all.  I've been off of my PCP prophylaxis for about 6 months now and yes it's Mepron.  I've toyed with the idea of starting it again but it really is pretty vile disgusting stuff.

You should have thought about that before you took raw redneck load up your ass at the truck stop.  You'll get no pity from us here.  None.

Ok, Truck Stop trysts or not....Perhaps you need to talk to your doc about switching to BActrim or something else. We loves our HellBottom and we dont want no PCP on your azz.

I believe the Lord concocted Mepron as a punishment for sodomites.

I actually don't know to be honest.  My evil plan was to have the necessary 200+ CD4 so I wouldn't have to deal with this very issue.  Unfortunately my body decided to go with Plan B.  Yakamein told me about Dapsone at least 7 months ago, but I haven't asked the Doc about it.

trust me. it can't be worse than lying in a hospital with PCP, not able to breath, puking rather than eating, with doctors telling you how close to death you probably are.

bactrim was the only med that I took religiously from 1996 until 2008 when I finally seemed to be staying over 200 enough to stop the med.

by the way, Willy was already dead to you a week ago, so just ignore him. LOL

So the truckstop deal is true?

What does the Mepron do to you?  Does it make your stomach hurt, or does it cause you nausea?  I could barely handle either, but opted for Bactrim even though it made me feel like I was peeing crystals everytime I went to piss.  I guess that's not an option for you though.

My CD4 is 500+ but I cant come off bactrim because I get back to back infections when off of it . I was on it for 10 + years and have tried a few times to stop but cant . Miss P called me a Bactrim addict once and I think he may be right .

BREAKING NEWS:

I just got a verbal Promise over the phone that our Little Trey-Trey will start his Mepron again. That's the goodnews, the bad news is we had no movement on the Truck Stop shennanigans.

We shall take the little victories :)

needless to say after this thread I am no longer concerned about my svelte physic ;D
I wasn't certain whether to post this in this thread or that dieting thread  :D ROFL

Cheerwine-infused Krispy Kremes to hit stores
Cheerwine Kreme Filled Krispy Kreme Doughnuts will be released Thursday to approximately 1,000 grocery stores across the Carolinas. The doughnuts will be packed with Cheerwine-infused crème and topped with a chocolate icing and a healthy dose of red and white sprinkles, said Tom Barbitta, vice president of marketing for Cheerwine. The partnership will bring together two North Carolina brands. Krispy Kreme is headquartered in Winston-Salem; Cheerwine is based about 40 miles south in Salisbury. Grocery stores that will be carrying the limited edition doughnuts are Bi-Lo, Lowes Foods, and select Harris Teeter and Food Lion stores. The doughnuts will be released exclusively in the Carolinas.

I used to always stuff a suitcase full of Cheerwine to take back to OH anytime I came home to NC/SC for a visit because it's almost (just "almost") better than Coke. Think of Cheerwine as a really good cherry Coke! And I almost went out earlier to redeem the coupon I have for a free dozen KK doughnuts (because I bought a dozen 2 wks ago - it's soooo hard to pass by that "HOT" light!). So tomorrow I'll be out looking for these. Thankfully there's a Bi-Lo, Lowes, Harri-Teeter and Food Lion all within just a few miles of my house. ;D

I just got a verbal Promise over the phone that our Little Trey-Trey will start his Mepron again.
I am very glad to hear that you'll be taking the appropriate precautions, HR, to NOT get PCP.
You may not like the med; but it really is better than being in the hospital. ;)

It's the BEST cherry Cola, like what Eckerd drug stores used to make at their lunch counter years ago, with cherry syrup and Coke. For years it was only sold through the Carolinas (just like Hardees and Krispy Kreme), which was why I stocked up on it on my trips back down South.

you can buy it online, or find a local distributor at their website http://www.cheerwinecorp.com/

Hot I'll hold her skinny ass down, you perform the beating.
Right.... sure I could weigh 185# but I haven't in 10 years and my doc and I are happy with my weight and build.  I look at it like this.... if you're so skinny you would blow away in a stiff wind.... you need to come over for dinner and we'll feed you some good food and fatten you right up.  Nothin hotter than a man who is built like a man.  Woof!
Don't obsess over the wrong things.  Life isn't about your numbers, it isn't about this forum, it isn't about someone's opinion.  It's about getting out there and enjoying it.   I am a person with HIV - not the other way around.

Have to thank the OP for the wakeup call that is this thread.

The summer I seroconverted, I weighed 70 kilos by September, when I went on HAART.  I stabilized back at my normal 80.  Well this week at the DOC, i hit 100 kilos.  I had a good look at myself and its confirmed, I am a fat pig!  How the fuck did that happen so quickly?  I was always thin.

Oh shit I'm going to a dietician ASAP.  I thought shrink, or ID, or endrocrinologist would have some helpful ideas, yet they all stare at me blankly!

And I don't sit on my ass all day, and I don't eat like a pig...

So what are you eating?  I'd figure that if you lived in a European large city you at least walk a lot compared to these Americans that even get their dry cleaning via a drive through window.  Having not owned a car for 20 years and walking everywhere I know that I keep weight off that way.

Nothing changed in my diet. Though last year I drank more than usual.  But still seem to be gaining this year!  I ride my bike everywhere and don't own a car.  I can't figure it out - thats why I asked all the docs.

Yeah, sudden weight gain like that isn't very healthy at all... once you're over 40 it can bother with your blood pressure.

This is the only place to go for doughnuts, everything else is a fat and sugar-laden waste of time:

Yeah, that's on the Lower East Side.  I had those eons ago when they only sold them at Dean & Deluca and they are incredible.

I'm very partial to a chocolate croissant if I'm going the sweets route in the morning.  A donut is just so atrociously a sugar overload.

We're having a heat wave this week.
I'm teaching every day and I'm bushed. I just woke up from a nap, naked on my bed.
I was dreaming that I was handing out with a college lover, but we were both our age now.
He was taller and skinner than I was, and then after college he got chunky.
In the dream, we were singing a song called,
"Happy Happy Fat Fat Fairy."

And now I just woke up. And its clear I am doomed. I guess I have to diet this summer.

Damn you, Leatherman. Damn you to Hell!
I went to four freaking grocery stores today, and no one has these damned doughnuts.  >:( ARGH! And all four of those were in NC. Tomorrow I'll go left at the end of the road and try the 4 local grocery stores in SC. I've also put calls out to my brothers and GrandMother to be on the lookout for a store selling them. Now that I can't find them, I want them even more!

Better yet, they'll end up like the overweight man in Apartment 2F of my building who was just found dead after not being seen for a couple of weeks.  He could barely go three steps without being out of breath.

When my partner and I lived in Hawthorne, CA we used to walk to the Boy's Market at 12:30 am to get glazed buttermilk donuts fresh out of the fryer and a gallon of cold milk. It was decadent.
