Ok Thankyou, I have an appointment with a infectious disease specialist this Friday thank god. Hopefully i can get pain free by christmas. if i find what is causing these generalised lymph node and spleen pains, swollen tonsils I will post it as it may help people in future I’m still in the window period so cant rule out HIV yet. I will post my 12 weeks post exposure as that is what the england clinic is saying today is conclusive.  I will confirm at 13 week post pep as you recommend for peace of mind as I had a high risk and symptoms.
Im feeling alot happier getting the 6 week Post pep negative today.
I hope you have a good Christmas.
Thanks Jim for your help in this difficult situation I have been in.

Hello, for those that want to see whats happening with me and me to vent.  well the infectious disease specialist cannot find what is wrong with me. I still have lymph node pain in armpits, shoulders and neck. Also pain in tonsils and still swollen slightly. Red blotchyness under  the skin and visible veins everywhere its not going away, fever every night which the ID Dr has said to do a diary for. The negative test results should prove that this is not due to HIV but the fact that nothing else has been found to be the cause really concerns me and i have been tested for everything possible now really. Im just thinking that sometimes people get infected for months and just don't show up on tests till 4-5-6 months after. Its very difficult to move on knowing this.
The nhs woman thinks my result is conclusive and has not booked anymore tests so i guess i have to move on unless i go private.

I have had a Negative test result at 8 weeks post pep 3 months post exposure on a blood drawn 4th gen ag/ab test it should have been picked up by now right?

Jim i really cannot thank you enough for your support through this even though you did not have to. Im very grateful. And the fact you volunteer is a god send for people in need. Your a good man.

Anyone reading this before you post don't waste moderators time on stupid things like fingering someone. Do your research before wasting there time!

Hiya

Sorry to hear that you are feeling unwell however it's really not HIV related and I think you need to start working from the start with your GP on finding and treating whatever is making you sick.

This result would rarely ever change and given the exposure and PEP, a negative result was expected to begin with. If you must you can retest for peace of mind at 3 months post PEP but peace of mind is all it would be for.

You're welcome, I'm an asshole but even we have our good moments and deeds from time to time.

Take it easy, Jim

Thanks again for your support i wish you and your family fortune and wellbeing in the future.

I wont be coming back to the forum now, I’m going to try and accept my negative result I will test at 3 months post pep which is in a months time just incase. If its poz I will be back I’m sure for advice on arv’s and support etc.
But like you say it will almost definatly be negative and if it is I wont be coming back. so this is where I say goodbye. CC
