3 Weeks on Atripla - Lab Results
« on: March 13, 2007, 04:44:38 pm »
Got my first post-meds results today(drawn last week 3/8/07) after 3 weeks on Atripla and I'm very pleased with the results(especially my viral load).
VL was 133,000 now 643.
For the rest see sig below.
Posting this 'coz I know a high viral load/falling CD4s can be very worrying, but so can starting meds. Hopefully, this might encourage someone out there starting or about to start meds. Good Luck to everyone!!!
I guess the crazy dreams have been worth it.

Great news! Congratulations.  The meds do knock the heck out of that viral load very quickly.  Then your immune system can start healing some.  Starting meds can be scary. I was there just a year ago.  But when you see results like this you know that they can be effective.  They help your body deal with this virus.  Keep up the good work!

I started Atripla January 23. After 2 weeks, my VL was 1410.

After 6 weeks, VL was down to 400. T cells took a modest jump from 264 to 270.

My doc doesn't give me percentages for some reason.

Hey BKNY,

Great results. Yep, definitely a cheesecake moment!  ;D

(For those unfamiliar, a cheesecake moment is a happy occasion celebrated with liberal slices of cheesecake.)
