I cleaned!
« on: April 08, 2007, 11:56:42 pm »
Well, a littlle.  Enough to make an impressionable dent in the biohazard that my apartment has become.

mostly living room and laundry... but I'm happy with that for today.  It really is too big a job to do in one or four days.

I guess it was time because I found fruit fly larvae in a pot in the sink.  Kinda like maggots... well.. exactly like maggots but they only make smaller flies.
And when the pots start walking across the rooms by themselves, it's time to clean.  Of course, I don't want to disturb them, so I left that for another day.  I think there is like a 3 day eviction notice thing in orlando.

(Actually, they are dead... Formula 409 is a suprisingly efficient bug killer)  But the pot has got to go.

Kinda nasty.  Took getting a bit sober to do it, not that I'm entirely sober now, probably would have gotten more done if I wasn't drinking at all...

Today I am happy because I did something for me that makes me feel better as a person rather than hiding away in total alcoholism like I've been doing.

It's a small thing but it's really important to me.  It means I'm coming out of the post-breakup depression I usually experience.   Luckily, it was only 3 months rather than the 6 I experienced with my first b/f.  Or the 6 after my live-in b/f here in orlando.

Gawd, I've completely forgotten over a year by being drunk because that is the only way I know how to deal.

Of course, being drunk, you don't care about forgetting and that is the point.  Self-medication.

And just to point out a fact, so there are no problems, I do still love shane dearly.  I just can't talk to him right now because it hurts too much.

Congrats on the cleaning! Man, it sounds like you had your work cut out for you.

Of course, feel free to come over to my place and clean it up as well :)

I dont have fruit fly larvae... but more than my share of ferret poop.

I prefer Sam Adams Light ... but sounds like things are getting better, although I would never consider house cleaning as a way to judge that .... I hate house cleaning, that is why we have a maid.

I am so glad to know that I am not the only one who isn't a Martha Stewart type.  Mine got so bad recently that when I did finally manage to get off my ass I filled a garbage can (the one on wheels that you put out on garbage day) with all the trash that was in my apt.  I will say though that having a clean home does do wonders for the mindset.

Taking some steps like that is a good thing, Dingo. Good for you!

Do they have deposit returns on bottles down your way? Judging from those stacks there, you'd get a nice sum for them here in NYC for returns.

Cheers,

Bailey,

This post gives me warm and fuzzies, because it isn't the cleaning I am talking about the the end of the blues.......   YES!!!!

Love,
The Bible contains 6 admonishments to homosexuals,
and 362 to heterosexuals.
This doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals,
It's just that they need more supervision.

In some parts of NYC doing that was referred to as "air mail." Just reporting, not recommending same.
