Time Difference
« on: August 16, 2007, 02:33:05 am »
Those of us coming to San Francisco are really going to be dragging when we get there, and after we have been there for awhile we will get use to the time change and have to be going back home and get our sleep patterns back again. ???  I really feel for the ones coming from across the pond. I will just be coming in from the east coast. :o

Jerry, for me it's never been an energy depleting flight. I fly to San Diego often enough to say that I'm never tired or experience any jet-lag when I travel from Columbus or Cincinnati, Ohio. I never book non-stop flights for the reason that I get a chance to walk around some between legs of flights. Nap on the plane. It helps.
There's some charm about San Francisco that quickens the pulse once you arrive. It's queer mecca. It's west coast beauty. Climbing the hills
(oh, those leg calf muscles!)......whatever it is..........it's exhilarating when you arrive.
I do feel for those who are traveling from points overseas. Yikes! Long flight.
 ;)

Gee

My flight isn't much more than an hour long!  He He He!  Snicker Snicker Snicker   :D

Not like that 14 hours it took me to get to Montreal last year!  (Yuck!)  >:(

As someone who's flown London to Sydney five times now, my 11 hour flight to SF will seem so quick for me! Luckily I've never experienced jet-lag on any long haul flights so hope this one will be the same.

I just have to make sure I do my exercises as I got a DVT when I flew to Australia in economy class, hence why I now travel business when going down under!

I just hope the stories about taking 2-3 hours to get through customs in the US don't come true as that will seriously test my patience after 11 hours on a plane!

See you all soon,

Emma

On the 12th I will have to leave Jackson around 3:30 AM to make it to the airport in Memphis since my flight leaves @ 6:00 AM. the time difference won't bother me much, but I will need a nap after I get to the hotel.

me too Dan.....hope I can sleep on the plane.   I'm going to have to leave home about 3:30 a.m.      The only way I can do that is to STAY UP....or maybe get dressed and ready, and get in my recliner, and set the alarm for 3:00.....

hugs,

Alan

I never got jet lagged going west. Going east to europe is when I fall dead and I need a 3 hour nap after arrival to recover.

I only have a three hour change, but I will take a nap.  Flying out of ATL equates to trip of 3 hours plus 2 hours in delays.  Leave it to DELTA (Don't Ever Leave The Airport)  or (Delivering Everyone Late Through Atlanta)  ;D

Milker,

How much time do you need to work me into your heavily booked schedule?  Help me with my PN and I will make the trip to Alcatraz (something I have always dreamed about doing).
