You can teach an old dog new tricks
« on: October 30, 2008, 10:34:47 pm »
My dog Kaiser has been with me in 6 houses over the past 10 years and has been riding in his sporty car for just as long.  His eyes and hearing is going away and he has some mobility problems and more recently has been getting a little disoriented.

The other day, I let him outside, he was in the cemetery across the road and disappeared.  There is not much use in calling a dog who can not hear or has selective hearing but a human voice yelled, "he is over here".  My neighbor was running around outside wearing nothing but a red towel and I thought "good dog, you found a naked man".  Kaiser went under the house, so I went after him.  The neighbor was still in his red towel and yes, I said it... Gar, there was a water buffalo under your house, can I borrow your towel?  ;D  Have the best day
Michael

See, it's times like that when you have to be thankful for your half naked neighbor that looks out for you and appreciate him for being the half naked neighbor.....that found Kaiser.

My 3 cocker spaniel boyz are 10, 10, and 11. I had never thought to put their hunting abilities to retrieving men. LOL Wonder if they're too old to learn that new trick?  ;D
