Access my exposure
« on: August 01, 2023, 12:35:54 pm »
Hi,

I would like access my risk here .

24 days back I had unreported oral ( receptive ) at massage center followed by protected vaginal sex with CSW hiv status unknown.

One thing I noticed is the condom is at 3/4 when it penis soften and all the time condom stayed on my Penis. I haven’t noticed any obvious condom break. I didn’t it ejaculate and noticed a thin fluid around mid of my Penile shaft ( not sure if it’s precum or any leaked veginal fluid ( if there is hole)

Around 26 hours post the above incident had unprotected sex with my partner.

After debating myself got into pep at 70th hours.

1. How much of above exposure is risk ?

2. How soon one get virus and transmit to others ? In my case it’s 26 hours . With in this time a person can enough viral load ?

3. Is it possible any left over infected fluid can pass the hiv to partner in same day ?

4. How effective is the pep if it’s started at 70th hours ? Have you seen any aero converter case ? I haven’t had any sex until now.

Hiya,

I had unreported oral ( receptive ) at massage center followed by protected vaginal sex with CSW

So you got a blowjob and had intercourse with a sex-worker.

Receiving a blowjob lacks the conditions required for acquiring HIV; thus, it makes sense that after 40+ years of this pandemic in terms of BJs, there hasn't been a single documented case of HIV transmission to an insertive partner (the person being "sucked"), and you will not be the worlds first.

As for intercourse, HIV can't transmit through an intact latex or polyurethane condom. Unless a condom fails during intercourse, there is no reason to be stressing or testing for HIV outside the standard yearly HIV screening.

In short, the encounter with the sex worker was not an HIV risk. Risks for easier to acquire STIs for sure, but not HIV.

Around 26 hours post the above incident had unprotected sex with my partner.

This was the only HIV risk mentioned here and ill repeat what I always tell people about relationships "If you engage in condomless sex with your partner, you are obviously at risk of acquiring HIV. In relationships, condomless sex is often based on trust or past test results; however, this does not prevent HIV, so if condomless sex does occur, you should consider testing more frequently"

1. How much of above exposure is risk ?

See above.

2. How soon one get virus and transmit to others ? In my case it’s 26 hours . With in this time a person can enough viral load ?

There was no HIV risk to you from the encounter 26 hours before your real potential HIV risk.

Quote
3. Is it possible any left over infected fluid can pass the hiv to partner in same day ?

... No

Quote
4. How effective is the pep if it’s started at 70th hours ? Have you seen any aero converter case ? I haven’t had any sex until now.

You started PEP within 44 hours of the exposure. It's highly effective when started before 72 hours.

Here's what you need to know to reduce your HIV risks:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse correctly and consistently, with no exceptions. Consider talking to your healthcare provider about PrEP as an additional layer of protection against HIV

Keep in mind that some sexual practices described as safe in terms of acquiring HIV still pose a risk for other easier-acquired STIs. So please do get tested at least yearly for STIs, including but not limited to HIV, and more frequently if condomless intercourse occurs.

Also, note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms; testing is the only way to know.

Kind regards

Jim

Thank you for spending time and responding.

Asking about 26 hours because, I had sex massage center and followed by unprotected sex . I am asking from perspective where I transmit the virus to my partner with 26 hours of exposure . Based on what I looked , virus takes a day or two to or three to invade the host and once infected the viral load will be undetectable atleast for three days and it shootup.

My partner complained fatigue 10 days after this incident and she had two red spot in face.

1. From your experience have you seen transmission happen with in 26 hours of exposure to host ?

2. Does ARS symptom comes all at once or come one in a week bad follower by other in next week ?

Asking about 26 hours because,

I stopped reading after the because. I have already provided an assessment that what happened 26 hours before wasn't an HIV risk to you, and I will not pretend otherwise.

Regarding symptoms, most people have no noticeable initial symptoms and were not going to discuss symptoms here. The lack of symptoms is also why regular testing is essential, regardless of symptoms or not, and testing after any risk events. The lack of symptoms is partly to blame (although its complex) for the low testing rates and hence we still have too many AIDS (Late HIV) cases instead of detecting it early

Let's wrap this up:

You had a potential risk from the sex with your partner. You took PEP promptly (44 hours), and you should fully expect a non-reactive (negative) result when you test to confirm your HIV status.

Going forward, if you want to reduce your HIV risks, you can by using condoms correctly and consistently and consider PrEP.

I wish you well; test when due.

There is a little clarification ,

1. I had sex with CSW protected , condom was on but not sure if it has any hole in it , as condom was removed by CSW.

2. Followed above I had sex with my partner , I am concerned about my partner risk since she is telling about fatigue for three days  and few pimple like on her face. Each came in a week gap.

3 . I had pep at 70th hour , not 44 hours

Thanks again !

1)

I already read this in your first post and in my first reply this was fully addressed, asking me the same again isn't going to change anything.

2)
Also already asked and answered. There is nothing more to say about this.

3)
Also already answered, it was 44 hours as I am not going to entertain the fantasy/paranoia that the sex worker 26 hours prior to the condomless sex with your partner had been an HIV risk.

Your issue seems to be morality issues and prehaps guilt about the sex worker, but I can't and don't intend to fix that for you. However, it wasn't an HIV risk, the only HIV risk mentioned was the potential exposure from your partner 26 hours after the sex worker.

Please don't post about this again as I'm not going to keep repeating myself to you and ill consider further questions excessive and issue a 28-day ban.
