Fingered me with vaginal fluids
« on: April 03, 2011, 12:00:24 pm »
Hi there everyone!
Two days ago  i had a relation with someone infected, i didn´t have sex, she did me oral sex with a condoom, but before she masturbated herself a lot on the bed, and after that she start to do me the oral and inserted the fingers that she was masturbating on my anus and masturbated it and stayed there a little while.
What are the chances of getting infected with hiv this way?  Can i get any dst? Can i get hiv this way? I called the hospital and they said that i was in a great risk, is this true? please share you knowlege with me so i can know what to do.

Thanks a lot
Regards

I don't know which hospital you called but if the rest of their healthcare is on a par with the bad and totally inaccurate advise you got, it's a good place to stay away from.

Take a breath and chill out. The only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. As long as you always use a condom for those activities you will be well protected.

Receiving oral including without a condom is absolutely not a risk. And HIV is a fragile virus so even if the woman used her vaginal secretions as a lube while fingering you, that absolutely would not be a risk for transmission.

Other STDs are easier to acquire so we recommend that anyone who is sexually active ought to at least once a year have a full STD panel done. But as far as HIV and the incident you are reporting this time, there was no risk and there is no need for HIV testing about it.

Nothing other than sex with your own hand is absolutely zero risk.

But otherwise with that very slight technical reservation, yours was a non-risk incident.

Let it go and get on with your life. No need for testing nor for further concern on your part about this one.

Bes,

I totally agree with Andy that you did not have a risk for hiv infection. Fingering - even when vaginal fluids are involved - is not a risk for hiv infection. Getting a blowjob, with or without a condom, is also not a risk for hiv infection.

Here's what you need to know in order to remain hiv negative:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST OVER FINGERING OR A BLOWJOB, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Kid,

We've already told you that you do not need to be tested over fingering or a blowjob. Re-read the responses you've gotten so far.

You can't give your gf a virus you don't have. Now stop all this unnecessary drama. You didn't have a risk for HIV. Period.

Get on with your life.

Hi everyone again! :)
I went to the doctor to do the stds exame like Andy advised me.
I talked to him about this case i had and he told me to do the HIV test in 3 months because it´s possible to get infected in this way.
Why do you think he told me that? I´ve talked to some people lately, the most part of them say that it´s very diffcult but not impossible, others say that is a zero risk situation.
I´m very consfused about all this, sorry for beeing such a borring :)

My regards

We've already told you what we think. You didn't have a risk. If you keep searching around for more opinions you are definitely going to find ones which feed your worst fears. All to no good purpose. Get tested if you want to for your peace of mind. A total waste of resources, but that is up to you.

There's nothing more we can say. If you continue to come back here again about this non-risk situation you are going to find yourself getting a Time Out from the site.

HIV is not your problem. Period.

Kid,

No, HPV isn't a concern in your situation either. You really don't have a concern with any STI where this is concerned. If you want to know more about the other STIs, I suggest you have a look through the inSPOT or The Drama Down Under websites. The second one is geared towards gay men, but the STI information is the same no matter who you are. Other than that, if you have further STI questions, ask your doctor or local sexual health clinic.

You have NOT had a risk for hiv infection. It's time you put this behind you and got on with your life.

I want to put it beeind me anne but it´s so difficult. :'(
The thing that im most scared is about hpv, you say that is a no problem for me but other people say that is the only std i could catch with my actions. And the women that i´ve been had a wart near her anus, at the time i didnt know it was hpv, what a dumb i am.
What are the chances of hpv transmission this way? Do the virus survive in the hand lots of time or it dies aftertouching the air?

My regards and i´m thankful to tou

Kid,

HPV is spread through direct skin-to-skin contact and you did not have direct skin-to-skin contact with her anus. Did you bother to have a look at the links I supplied you with? If you had, you would have found all the relevant information on HPV you need. CLICK HERE!!!

If you cannot stop worrying about HPV, go see your doctor about it. This is an hiv forum only.

If you read the Welcome Thread before posting like you're supposed to, you will have read the following posting guideline:

Quote

Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

Please consider yourself warned!

Bes,

The only thing it means is that you are obsessing with your health. Knock it off. If you feel unwell, see a doctor. Whatever is or is not going on has nothing to do with hiv. You did not have a risk for hiv infection.

I'm giving you that time out I've warned you about. Do not attempt to create a new account to get around your time out because if you do, you will be permanently banned.
