Hooray, video games!
« on: July 13, 2007, 12:26:29 am »
I used to really be into them when I was younger, but recently I've been more interested in spending my money on clothes and junk. :[ But. I recently dished out 170 bucks to buy a DS Lite and Pokemon Diamond and I think I'm hooked again. I know, I know. Pokemon. But, it's really an amazing RPG series and for as childish as it is, it's a great storyline and it really keeps you interested.

Does anyone have any DS suggestions? Most people I know either have a Wii now or  PS3 but I'm not really interested in either of them. I'm fine with my PS2 that I got for Christmas a fair amount of years back. I'm just not so hardcore into gaming that I'll go out and spend hundreds of dollars on something I'll play with maybe a couple times a week.

You are not alone, Mouse....More females and the older folks are into gaming now. I have a ps2 but am mainly into rpgs like the Resident Evil series or the Final Fantasy series....I did have a Yu-Gi-Oh game once, wishes I would've kept it. And Pokemon, what do you mean, when I had a GameCube, I use to play it all the time. The only reason I got the GameCube was for the Resident Evil 0 which they didn't make for the ps2. After I beat the game, I got rid of the system. And I can't see myself ever getting the ps3, it's just too damn high. For that amount of money I could pay a couple of bills.

(who throws up 2 fingers in honor of the PS2)

My dentist has a FREE sit down style Ms. Pac Man arcade game in his office.  I go in there early and wait for the 6-year old kids to get chomped by the ghosts and get maybe 2000 points.  Then when its my turn, I tear it up with a free man, bells ringing, fruit bouncing and high score approaching 100,000 before I go to get my teeth cleaned.  Ah, yes, I DO have the 80's center in my brain, well intact!  Am I nuts?

Hey, I figure if there's no sex, at least there's FREE Ms. Pac Man!  LMAO

Does anyone know what happened with the Resident Evil series? Are they not making anymore of them? But I'm sure if they do it won't be for the PS2..I have been trying to find all the ones they made for the 2. Right now I only have Code Veronica, Outbreak, and RE4.

OMG-  Zaxxon!  And I have an old Coleco game system that had Donkey Kong and DK Jr. on it.  It's so old that I don't think it can even be plugged into today's TV sets!  As a teen, I rocked the most on Tempest.

thunter...........oh yes, I remember Qbert, just didn't want you making fun of me, lol!  Frogger, Qbert, even Millipede (or was it Centipede?) were my faves, but I had smoke coming outta that Ms. Pac Man machine.  A quarter would last me a half-hour, so I'd always give my little brother my extra quarters.   :-X

Moon and Thunter~~~

You know they still have those classic games with a joystick and you just hook it up to the tv. I was a Galaga freak too....

Auntie Doxie....All I can say is ROFLMAO@spinners on your walker. You are off the chain, that's why I love you so. Now all we need to do is hook that walker up with some BOOM and hydrolics, well maybe not the hydrolics. I don't want you saying,"I've fallen and I can't get up". ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I gave up on games when I always lost at Pong on my TRS-80 Model 1. That was about 1979.

Coleco vision.  I just found a free emulator for that.  I spent 2 days reliving my childhood playing Venture and Pepper II.

I'm not ashamed to admit it but I now have a PS2.  I left video games around the Sega Genesis time but with all the hype that happened with Grand Theft Auto III, I had to get a PS2.

If you like Grand Theft Auto 3 then you should consider getting Scarface and the Godfather games....They make them for the PS2...I like the Grand Theft Auto series but the mini missions are a bit difficult for me..

Do you really mean PS3? I mean the 2 has been out for awhile so I kinda think the Wii would surpass the 2. I like the Wii system but the jury is still out when it comes to the games....

The article say PS2: "Sales of Nintendo's quirky Wii video game machine could top the legendary PlayStation 2, making it the biggest hit in the industry's history"

Did anyone see the article on Sony lowering the price on over 1-2 million PS3's? Not that much of a decrease, onlu 100 bucks and that is because it has a smaller hard drive than the 600 buck version. But it also seems like the Wii is giving Sony a run for their money....
