Good morning guys how are you??
A long time to write and hear from you.
I'm having 3rd time a bronchitis and cold within a 6 month period.
My son had pulmonary upper respiratory flu for 2-3 weeks so when he became better I put out masks because I felt I'm ok, I'm strong , so I got it 😜😂
And I couldn't sleep more from cough and woke up to boil a tea/camomile and thought let's see how is everyone...
Hugs brothwrs
Anyways how is everyone?

Sorry to hear about bronchitis and I hope you and your son are feeling better.

No news. Working, been sick (am sick), been busy these last few weeks.

You are welcome to keep everything in one thread but you might want to consider opening up new threads if it's a new topic or an off-topic thread if it's not related to HIV to get more engagement.  Just a thought

ugh. sorry to hear about all the illnesses. hope everyone gets well soon!

any of our sneezing, congestion, and watery eyes right now is from pollen. I miss living in Ohio sometimes (I even miss the snow.......sometimes) because the cold kills a lot of bugs and Spring is fast and not so potent. Here in the Carolinas, everywhere is coated in a yellow film of pine pollen and it won't be long until I need to swim in OFF mosquito spray or risk being eaten alive.

been sick (am sick)
yuck. all you people should learn to avoid germs better.  ;)
feel better soon too!

D-Dimer test.

Presume it was for a reason, the cough prehaps. Anyhow, when are you following up with your doctor or have you already and what did they say.

Hey there thanks for asking ,
Also on Friday I was found with

4400 WBC of 29% lymphocytes
CRP 11 with cut off 5 (chronic inflammation or maybe can this explainsned by the bronchitis I had last week?)
D dimer 1,3

.....

I talked with my hiv specialist doctor
He told me not panic and follow those doctors recommendations about checking repairatory blooding scintigraphy, .

Then searching the net I also saw that ddimer as well as Crp is used as biomarkers of measuring the inflammation...

We will see
Of course I will follow up with anything new and let you all know.

Anyways I really feel well...
I just had started overdoing with bad eating habits so last two weeks started again a diet and I'm in losing extra pounds mode

Kisses and hugs to all of you guys.

Glad to hear you feel well.

Bronchitis is caused by a virus, like the common cold or flu or a bacterial infection resulting in inflammation. So sounds like they checked for a colt following your recent illness and coughing, had a positive indicator and are now going to investigate further.

I'm sure they can explain this more when you talk to them next, but do keep working with your doctors, try to relax and keep in mind that not everything is HIV related and you will get common illnesses from time to time just like everyone else in life.

Μy friends hellooo
Can I ask you something please ?
The last month , I have between hair and eyebrow a redness on my skin about a coins surface in size, I think it's because of inflammation because in my recent blood tests (not the regular 6months tests which I will have it next week) I was found with CRP 12 !!!
Is it common such a big number while on art?
I confess last month I ate pizzas , chocolates , sweets , ice creams , all known to increase inflammation....
It's so red I can show you pictures today after all day yesterday hydrating this place ....
Don't tell me to relax , how can I relax , being positive with 12 CRP , with 50 millions initial VL , with one functional working kidney ....
Anyways , everything as info from your experience is welcome my bros...

Stop eating crap, it's bad for you regardless of your HIV status.

The rest are all either irrelevant or things to discuss with your doctor although considering you were recently sick some inflammation would be expected but the results or potential causes need to be discussed with your doctor. Coin sized surface issues could be a number of things that again you would need to talk to your doctor about.

Hey Jim thanks , really thank you.
I really stopped it.
I will follow very strict eating habits onwards.
Yesterday morning I ate 3 chocolwaffles and two chocolate balls with coconut pieces
Day before I had eaten chocolate cake with liquid chocolate inside and two I've cream balls
Also dried fries ... Oufff...

Anyways , a crp of 11,5-12 is it too much? Cardio doctor told me nothing to worry about its usual for many people...

In a month I will try to write here I didn't eat crap at all.
Boiled only

Any tips please for avoiding inflammation?

But please , understand me , how shouldn't I get stressed with such a picture of coin sized inflamed skin?
By talking number of things , can I exclude cancer. ????

No need to get stressed. It could simply be ringworm or something innocent that needs a cream but the only way to know is to see your GP.

You are going to have common heath issues in life just like everyone else. Get used to it as the only cure is being dead.

Helloooo dears
How are you ??? I wish you all have good lives ,,,
I want to share with you a tip that my soul doctor gave me today ,,, when I'm feeling bad or stressful I should be compared to poorer people who are jobless or have bad health issues so we can feel relaxed and stress free ,,, I can catch my self that it works for me at least ...

Unfortunately I missed my scheduled lab tests because I was delayed in my appointment
So they gave me a new date for 30 of May
I hope 🤞 we wil be fine ...
Kisses and hugs 🤗
Please keep posting here , I need to feel all of your presence here as often as you can leave a comment or a greeting guys

Good to hear you are doing OK. The tip you shared is a good one. A few pages back on your epic thread I mentioned mindfulness practice. I find it useful, an app I use iw Waking Up by Sam Harris. It has guided meditations and also a theory section with discussions from himself and various people. In one of those lessons he recommends people to think of the worst thing that hasn't happened to them yet, living in a war zone, fatal diagnosis, and then imagine what the people who suffer from these problems would give to swap places with you. It really puts our positions into perspective when you realise just how lucky we are compared to others if HIV is our only issue.

I have a similar philosophy - but the comparison is to events in my own life.

For a long time, the worst day in my life was when I suddenly had to leave my out-of-state college mid-year to move back home. On my bad days, I would say that at least it wasn't as bad as "that" day.

But then my first long term partner died, well, that day became the new measure of how bad the worst day was.

When my second partner was in the hospital, I got through a LOT of bad days because none of those days were as bad as the day my first partner died. Well, until my second partner died. Certainly now, there is absolutely nothing that could be as bad, no matter how bad things might get, than the day I had to keep living while not 1 but 2 partners were dead.

of course, right now I am risking having even a worse "worst day", but as of today, I'm happily still with my 3rd long term partner. Who knows? with some luck, maybe my husband will outlive me and I will never have experience anything worse than the day 2 partners were dead.

So that's how I survive the really bad days, by realizing that no matter how bad it is that day, it isn't as bad as my worst day.

To get through every day though, having been hospitalized with AIDS a few times, I just remember my motto: Any day I'm not in the hospital, no matter how bad, is still a GREAT day. and if you don't believe that, all I can say is try not dying in a hospital with a week ;) , and then let's talk. At that point, I'm sure we'll both agree that not being in the hospital is awesome! :D :D :D :D

Ηello guys good evening
How is everyone doing? How are your lifes?

I didn't post for a long time because I tried to follow your advices and it's true I started studying for exams for improving my position in my work.
Also I fixed many problems in my home and worked a lot and drank some more drinks and coffee ,,, you know it's summer and try to enjoy my last summer's 🤣😂🤣
Anyways , despite the fact that I have some good news I have some things that also worry me,

My last lab tests showed undetectable again.
And also 540 cd4 ☺️ I'm so happy and grateful to all you who supported me in my first month's when I was totally lost, sad and in deep depression....
All my rest tests were quite within limits ..
I only have a bit raised blood pressure of 8-12,5 ... Maybe due to the integrate ralltegravir.
However I'm happy I was able to recover even to the lowest limit of a healthy immune system above 500 cd4s

However I have developed on my skin some hemangiomas 2-3 already since May ...in various places of my skin , belly, face , small like 1-2mm^2 ... Also I read that the damage of the virus to the skin's cd4s is never cured and recovered again after initial infection, so I'm a bit of worrying about these hemangiomas because I read on the net that hemangiomas are over growing small and tiny
vessels  cells , something like multiple and fast cell growth as it's cancer but benign tumors and also these type of tumors are also developed inside the liver which is also stressed from the art therapy.

Does anyone have similar issues or knowledge?
Anyways , how are you??
What bout your summers? We had a sudden and strong rain today .. but I hope I can go to my village next week so I can enjoy my last swimming sets before autumn comes strongly 🙂
I will be more than glad to hear good news from all of you ...

that's great you're still UD. Don't be surprised if that stays that way from now on ;)
of course, that's as long as you remember those daily meds. :)

don't overthink your cd4s. Those things can change by 100 pts in a day, so the test result is just a snapshot of your cd4 count when your blood was drawn. Also, the cd4 test results are just a count of cd4s. there's no way to actually know how strong those cd4 cells are. Plenty of people living with a count less than 500 have zero health issues. As long as you keep HIV in check (i.e. undetectable), any illness you get will most likely not be HIV-related but simply the illnesses or diseases you might have gotten if you hadn't acquired HIV.

Because of how sick I was when diagnosed, plus the less effective meds in the 90s, it took me about 28 years to reach 500. Yet in the last 24 years since I was last in a hospital with AIDS-related pneumonia, I've really never been sick, not even with a cold. My little ol' 250-350 t-cells must be really strong and I have never even cared if I reached 500.

really the only reason your cd4 count should matter is if it goes below 200 because then you would be more susceptible to an HIV-related disease. although even a number that low is still not a guarantee that you would get one of those illnesses; but just that it's much much more likely.

What bout your summers? We had a sudden and strong rain today .. but I hope I can go to my village next week so I can enjoy my last swimming sets before autumn comes strongly
ugh. It never rains at my house here in South Carolina. Oh, it rains alllll around us but rarely does my lawn get more than a short sprinkle. I have an 18ft above ground pool and that where I spend a lot of afternoons. Sadly, as Summer is winding down, I'm afraid next week's low temperatures in the low 60s will get around to making the water too cold to get into for much longer. But I just came in from several hours (and several beers) floating around the pool, so Summer is still all good today for me.  :D
