sup homies ! gay male here hooked up with a date 3 days ago. Went bare (I was the top) for a good 1-2 mins then stopped and put a condom on. Had him go in for a rapid test next day and was neg.
3 days after incident i woke up w/ a sore froat , chills, achey , and just plain tired allllllllllll day . Felt like i had a fever tho took me temp a few times and was normal "98.6" , "98.3" .
Research on the nets suggests it's too early for ARS to appear after 3 days ... whats ur opinion on this forum ?
thx :)

ARS if one does have it which most don't comes on 2-4 weeks post exposure and lasts 1-2 weeks. You can test 3 months post exposure to obtain a conclusive test result. Had you used the condom consistently and correctly you wouldn't be here. Sex lasts a matter of minutes and HIV lasts a life time. Good luck on your test.

Yes, you do need to get tested. Your risk was brief and relatively low. The insertive partner is at lower risk than the receptive one, but lower risk is not the same as no risk.
Get tested at 13 weeks past the incident. The likelihood is you will test negative. You need to learn from this experience. Everytime you have even brief unprotected intercourse you are putting your life at risk. It's just that simple and real.
Good luck with your test and use those condoms.
