Title: Dream interpretations...
Post by: idee on July 08, 2013, 05:48:19 pm
I went to my therapist and she said some interesting things. I told her how I dreamed last night of making cakes that resembled houses. Each level was examined with many types of rulers for evenness. I was being judged.
My therapist thinks that since I was recently the victim of a home invasion that I am judging my security with this dream.
I think she is right since I awoke feeling like I needed to check the doors to the house and check on my family.
Every time I see this therapist I feel better because she has a conversation with me and not just listens or over talks.
Also I am officially off of Zoloft as I have been without it by accident for two weeks and I have been fine without it. The only think is I am very thirsty, not very hungry, and feel like getting up in the mornings. I am happier not feeling so sluggish.

That interpretation sure sounds reasonable. Do your dreams usually have some sort of symbolic meaning or is this new? Except for the prophesies (haha) and the occasional terror, mine are just talking geese, bears in suspenders, upside down staircases. The usual sort of (what?).

It's great you found a therapist you click with. It seems to me the best ones are the ones who guide your thoughts so you can figure whatever it is out for yourself. We probably know more answers than we'd like to admit sometimes.

Also, congratulations on Zoloft, I mean, if you're happier without, that is. I tried quitting cold turkey once and got the zaps something awful. I didn't read the story of how you accidentally stopped taking it for two weeks (assuming it's posted here?), but do be careful with quitting those things so quickly if you are ever on  again and can avoid immediate stoppage.

:)

I quit taking Zoloft because the RX ran out and the Dr was on vacation. I was too tired to see the PA so I decided I would wait until the Dr came back. I see the Dr in three more days and by now I am over the coming down effects.
So I asked the therapist and she said that I probably will end up losing the extra weight since I am off of the Zoloft.
The positive side is I am happier without Zoloft. After feeling the effects of coming down, I just thankful I don,t feel that way now.

Lee, I want your dreams. (well, not so much the terror part but dancing bears would be fun!)
Good input too. :)

idee,
one less pill is great if you find you don't need it and isn't helpful. hope it continues along this path. you have been through so much stress lately but I'm sure you have a sense of relief somewhat in knowing your move is coming soon.
happy dreams. :)

Yeah, but I only sleep every other night. You probably don't wanna trade.
